new pastime apparently: every time someone self-identifies as a certain label (like, "likes TTRPGs" or "watches marvel movies" or "is totally frog #9 in a tag yourself meme"), reply with "i can see it"
of natural causes too please!
The spongebob "wait" meme. In the first panel he says "I hope when I die I'm surrounded by my loved ones". In the second, more panicked panel, he adds, "And elderly!"

The magician tarot card but the magician is holding the same Jersey mike's sub instead of a wand.
non-android users are disintegrating in front of you as we speak (jk, i have android and am also disintegrating bc i dont use google keyboard)
i need to finally write a proposal document for the cat face emoji but sadly proving that it's a popular emoticon is weirdly hard for their criteria, something about the SEO for "cat face" makes it difficult. i wonder why
how is there an inflated face emoji but no colon three emoji after all these years?? :3 has been in use for decades, owo is semantically similar and yet?? (these don't count btw--> π±πΌπΊ)
i really want to make a blogpost about people claiming they can see the ugliness in a heinous person's face just by looking at them.
you can't.
Seeking Voice Actors! An open call for VAs to submit their profiles concerning a small job voicing short lines for an animated trailer. The trailer is for the currently serializing graphic novel, Blue Hollow, which is an appalachian gothic supernatural YA mystery/romance, starring queer wizard protagonists Onion and Bill. Flavors of voice actor required: Sweet southern boy, neurospicy rich boy edgelord, completely stumped football player, tiny prank demon, and Mysterious Witch I'm So Glad Is Not My Enemy. Come one come all, drop your portfolios!
Looking to commission a few voiced lines for a short Blue Hollow trailer! I seek VAs PRIMARILY who can do an Appalachian accent, but other needed flavors are listed here too! I'll talk respectful rates with my shortlist. Drop your info below to be considered! :)
Slide 1: a blue graphic with an outline of the United States. Red and white text reads: Call. National Book Banning Bill Proposed in US House of Reps. Tell your rep: Vote no on H.R. 7661.
Slide 2: a blue and red graphic with white text that reads: House Republicans have introduced a bill to effectively grant the federal government decision-making power over what books make it into the library. Misleadingly called the "Stop the Sexualization of Children Act," H.R. 7661 is a national-level book banning bill that would ban any book that, according to the bill's language, "(ii) involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism." This means any book about a trans person or the trans experience would be banned from every public school in the United States.
Slide 3: a blue and red graphic with white text that reads: The bill has been referred to the House Committee on Education and Workforce. If you are represented by one of the members of this committee listed below, they need to hear from you. Rep. Kevin Kiley, California (CA-3) (Chair) - entering vulnerable election cycle Rep. Mary E. Miller, Illinois (Vice Chair) Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson, Pennsylvania Rep. Burgess Owens, Utah Rep. Michael A. Rulli, Ohio Rep. James C. Moylan, Guam - entering vulnerable election cycle Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, Pennsylvania - entering vulnerable election cycle Rep. Mark Harris, North Carolina Rep. Mark B. Messmer, Indiana Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, Oregon, Ranking Member Rep. Jahana Hayes, Connecticut Rep. Summer L. Lee, Pennsylvania Rep. John W. Mannion, New York Rep. Frederica S. Wilson, Florida Rep. Alma S. Adams, North Carolina Rep. Adelita Grijalva, Arizona
Slide 4: a blue graphic with red and white text that reads: If you are represented by the congresspeople listed above: Call your reps. Tell them they must oppose this bill at every turn. It is egregiously unconstitutional, targets ideas based on ideological disapproval, and misleads parents and the public about the content of children's books. It does nothing to protect kids and will badly harm education. It will tie school material funding into knots and hurt anyone who is a library materials vendor, regardless of content. If you are a bookseller, librarian, or author, tell them your livelihood depends on the next generation of readers.
You can read the full text of the bill here: www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c... Thank you to @authorsabb.bsky.social for these slides and the alt text, which you can also share on their insta: www.instagram.com/authorsagain...
A digital drawing of author Maia Kobabe, a white nonbinary person with short brown hair wearing a patterned blue shirt, who scowls while holding up a copy of eir book GENDER QUEER: A MEMOIR. Maia is saying: H.R. 7661 is a national book banning bill which seeks to remove any book that "involves gender dysphoria or transgenderism" from all public schools in the US. This would ban my books, and any other book with trans themes, from public schools. PLEASE call your House Reps and say: NO ON H.R. 7661!

"clanker and wireback are slurs bc they follow the linguistic patterns of other slurs" say youre a white person w/o saying youre a white person
im not fully bothered by it personally since he does seem to be using it minimally but if stoat's minor claude commits bother someone (no shade) then this might too
fluxer is really great as an app but (as disclosed on the blog) the main dev troubleshoots usin llms and doesnt disallow contributors to the app from usin llms to code. he does require folks to fully understand their code & is against "vibe coding". but if yr against genai period, might be a problem
there were security breaches/holes found in 2022, 2024, and 2025 iirc

matrix's "encryption" has repeatedly been dogshit, they say they fixed an encryption hole now but they had knowingly left it in there for years
the github has a link to my support server and an invite to the bot! test it out so i can wake up in the morning and cry about all the bugs you found!
I am one of 5 to 30 people making a pluralkit / tupperbox clone on fluxer, but nevertheless the barebones version is working

i'm working on a bot now for this. i'd need a lot more time to make feature parity with pluralkit, but basic functionality (create a member & proxy with them) is there.
Several sketchy hourly comics from 7am-9pm. I wake up at my boyf's place, eat a poorly sliced bagel, practice singing, work on my resume, have lunch, play Mythic Bastionland, and all of us hang out with my husb's family.
More hourly comics from 9-11pm. I retire to my boyf's apartment, walk back to my own, and finish drawing hourlies. The end.
Hourly comics day!
"IN OBSERVANCE & SOLIDARITY". Two black speech bubbles with white text read "HOURLY COMICS DAY IS NOW ON FEB 8TH. CARTOONISTS HONOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH. FEB 1 - MAR 1". There is an illustration of a black silhouetted hand raised and holding a pen in the top right, and an illustration of a nib pen and an ink well personified on the bottom right. The nib and ink are bumping fists. A URL at the bottom is "hourlycomicsday.com".
Hourly Comics Day has MOVED!
It's the 20th anniversary and we're taking a stand alongside our Black cartoonist members and friends to demand a change to honor Black History Month- draw your comics on the 8th, not the 1st!
