“I am endeavoring to improve every single day”

That’s really interesting considering this is the same cookie cutter “apology” used by 90% of public people after they’re called out

Graham Platner claims he's changed. Why is he still using the r-word? The left have their own ableism problems to grapple with, not just Republicans.

Do you realize you’ve done the same thing a few times today with ableism?

Lol it’s just a critique of how poorly they think dems are doing at getting more supporters. No one said they’re more pissed at dems than GOP. 😅

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

OP isn’t talking about themselves seeing dem messaging. They’re saying dems could do a lot better reaching people who aren’t already supportive of dems.

1 day ago 0 0 1 0

You say that to their supporters and they’ll eyeroll and call you dramatic, bc it’s not effective messaging. Some ppl need to be told how something affects them, then experience it, for the message to be effective. One example being 25-50 years of tax breaks for data center building and operations.

Pretty sure their post is just commentary on how dems can make their messaging more effective in order to reach more people? I’m from the same red state. Sure dems are very vocal here, but that doesn’t mean those vocals are effective.

Like your other post said, it’s like any and all criticism of dems, no matter how big or small, flips some kind of switch in people’s brains

How are some people taking this so aggressively out of context??? 🙃

As someone DX’d with #HSD, but not #hEDS, with a TON of systemic issues throughout my body, this the best news. A grain of hope for improved care.

Strong (likely unpopular among #a11y practitioners) opinion:

In accessibility discussions, stating just the number of a WCAG success criterion (SC) without stating the title (at least once) is as annoying as abbreviations without expanded forms are. Sure, it's not exactly the same; but assuming 1/2

This is an outstanding resource and very clear rundown on a) why Substack is bad because people apparently still need to be spoonfed in 2026 and b) the MYRIAD options to use instead

If AI hypers finally start being honest about this it’s gonna be another example of non-disabled people co-opting accessibility language to suddenly be able to accommodate non-disabled people, like “Zoom fatigue” at the start of the pandemic (which is actually “listening fatigue”)

Svelte 5 migration guide • Svelte Docs Svelte 5 migration guide • Svelte documentation

Ah! I'm seeing that now in the Svelte 5 migration guide.

svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...

If I'm looking at a project that's using version 3, is there a separate section of docs I should refer to?

Reactive $: statements • Svelte Docs Reactive $: statements • Svelte documentation

Might as well keep learning out loud lol so here's my trail so far:

Landed on Reactive $: statements (svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...).

Scrolled to Legacy APIs Overview in the sidebar (svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...).

Followed a link to Svelte 5 migration guide (svelte.dev/docs/svelte/...).

Hmm falls under Legacy APIs so I wonder what replaces it 🤔

Svelte question — what are the $ lines in the <script> tag of .svelte files? Not sure what search terms to use to learn about this.

Oh no your fraud investigation that coincidentally was in a blue state turned out to be completely bogus?

The archive dating 1/7/2026 doesn't mention Section 508: archive.today/2026.01.07-1....

An archive dating 1/10/2026 mentions it: archive.today/2026.01.10-0....

Which means this Section 508 disclaimer has been there for more than 90 days. 🙄

259 days later… I miss the hell out of my Grandma. Reading about writing has me thinking about her extra right now. I wish I could talk to her. June and July of 2025 remain the worst two months of my life. I would change so much if I could.

I tried it out a couple months ago and really like it! I think I need to get another server though since the one I host it on has a bunch of my other projects. 😆

Welp my annual subscription has finally ended. It's really too bad this is the cheapest small biz plan with Figma Design. Didn't use Make, Draw, Sites, Dev Mode, FigJam, or Slides. Have zero interest in 3,000 AI credits.

I could've been clearer but I ran out of characters! 😅

At the regulations dot gov link in my reply, there is a download button after a "Download File" heading. The button will give 3 format options: docx, pdf, and htm. I selected PDF.
