CPS need to get the message: emotional justice ("he's dead because of you!") is not justice.
They should also stop charging people with new offences (murder, manslaughter, death by dangerous driving) if a victim dies after someone has served a sentence for the causative injury.
I've no comment on the DV and rape charges but I agree that nobody should be charged with manslaughter or murder because of another's suicide unless they encouraged them to do it. Interesting that another jury has rejected such a charge.

Took a few pics of the park with the ruined castle. The family that owns it is related to the family that owned Parham - see my most recent Flickr set. The castle ruin has tall metal fencing that I can't get my camera lens through.
Just wasted a journey down to Midhurst to see the walled garden at Cowdray Park which a favourite place to visit until Covid. However, it's now closed and used for weddings and afternoon teas. Had been told it was open again.
But it doesn't make me "part of the problem" or somehow complicit in that subculture to point out that it's actually not very big.
It's not a question of not quite 62 million. The fact is it's not even close to that.
If every user downloaded 100 files, that makes 620,000 users. If they downloaded 1,000, it makes 62,000 users. If that figure includes all those style sheets etc., it means even fewer.

every new visitor will download a lot of files just to read one page. 62m/40 = 1.55 million.
Even if that referred to visits, or whole page downloads, each regular user who spends a lot of time on the site will be downloading lots of files. Maybe hundreds or thousands.
For example: when you view the index of my blog, there are 40 files that feed into it to make it look the way it does. Not just the actual PHP file you load, but images, style sheets and JavaScript files. Maybe some of those are cached for regular readers, but ...
Regarding the "62 million men":
It's well known that the 62 million refers to views, or downloads, not actual users. It's even possible that the figure refers to numbers of files downloaded from the website, which would greatly inflate the apparent reach of the site.
Labour are just coasting on the Tories' post-Covid unpopularity and the Faragists' troubles. I saw someone say that Starmer isn't offering spectacle, just quiet competence. They don't realise that people will need something spectacular to give him another majority. He only polled 35% in 2024.

I read a story of a lady in the US who was prescribed an overdose of Vitamin A as a child. It caused something called pseudotumor cerebelli — false brain tumour — which caused her to go blind.
It's also true that Britain has typically been the least racist and most tolerant country in Europe in terms of accepting other cultures. But that is a low bar, and it could change any time, and could easily change after the next general election.
It's true, there aren't a lot of guns (they're banned), no shooter drills at school, and shooting incidents are rare. But things are changing; the country is getting less tolerant, there is a mob waiting for the call and politicians and TV stations talking their language.
More recently: there is a rising tide of violent racism and organised mobs of violent racists. One moment they are targeting asylum seekers, the next it is any presumed "immigrant". Any time there's a big crime, the mob are on the rampage looking for the guilty "immigrant".
There is a long history of abusive police stop and search incidents; they normally now target young Black men and boys. They will stop a car driven by a Black man; a nice car "can't be his" or must be the proceeds of drug dealing.
I keep seeing posts on IG by Americans who've moved to the UK and saying it's wonderful, and in particular that it's not racist. The latest one is full of shots from a posh-looking provincial town.
There very much is racism in the UK as any Black/Asian person here can tell you.

Yeah but the media keep sharing it on FB with "this just in" implying that it is one. 'Police: "give us time" on Epsom rape' is the headline they'd have used back when they were newspapers rather than clickbait factories.
That's no update at all!
The police will still be interviewing the victim. This is why they haven't got descriptions of all the suspects: there were several of them and they are building photo-fit pictures of at least some of them. This takes time. Days, not hours. Especially with a traumatised victim.
