Yeah I think you're right, and its probably true with every industry as they exist online. It just frustrates me the number of people buying into it financially with all of the preset packs/courses/mentoring offered by scam artists when there are bona fide Grammy winners giving it away for free

Like, I'm not saying you can't learn a new keyboard shortcut from someone who makes generic corporate music, BUT if someone is giving you mix or mastering advice, or speaking in absolutes about a subject, you better take a look at that discography and see for yourself if they can walk the walk

If i could give one piece of advice to producers and audio engineers online it would be: Don't take audio advice from people who's work you don't know or you don't think is very good

i was listening to an interview with the CEO of grammarly and I swear to god he was speaking a whole new form of the english language. some of the phrases he uttered were so inventive and SO dishonest, it was insane

its crazy how much corporate communication is just using ridiculous sounding jargon and lying
