“Just Hatched”
I’ll be drawing 100 prehistoric creatures #cordysprehistoricpals
Monochrome ink drawing of a small theropod dinosaur with a long tail and snout
Working on new material for an upcoming exhibition at the end of June. It’s the end of the world as you know it (from a dinosaur’s point of view, obvs)

Have been collaging again at the awesome @ecc.edinburghcollageclub
Had an absolute blast cutting up bits of paper and sticking them on a square board. And I even found some dinosaurs to add to the picture.

Always welcome! 🤗
Fantastic drawings, Steve! I love the Nautilus and Mary 🥰❤️❤️❤️
More artbook drawings. A Livyatan; a basketball-playing raptor from Toronto; a nautilus; and a tylosaur I shall call Mary (not sure if there's a record of Cretaceous copepods but what the hell).
Artbooks are still available. DM for details.
This is so utterly dystopian 😳

almost done! It’s going to be tipping over a Polacanthus and this early Cretaceous medium sized Theropod preserves complex rostrum anatomy, with the paper linked below in the comments! #sciart #dinosaurs
Large male Iguanadontid reminding a Wealden Theropod that its place in the food chain is lower than its reputation might suggest….
Utahraptor chasing a European Iguanadon, the evidence we have currently doesn’t support such large robust Dromaeosauridae in the Wealden but it’s not impossible.
Speed painted Wealden Dromaeosaur
Dromaeosaurs are fully feathered, with plentiful evidence supporting this, they are also really satisfying to paint quickly (an hour in this case)
The Wealden has a large diversity of Theropods, including teeth from the Dromaeosauridae. In this case restored as a 3 metre long animal, Nuthetes or Vectiraptor being the inspiration and Deinonychus the print file. These feathered Theropods are a joy to paint up, and couldn’t resist a WWD homage

Pair of Nuthetes move cautiously through the Wealden forest
So my first introduction to plausible U.K. Dromaeosaurs was a decade ago when Nuthetes menaced Dean Lomax at Stonehenge! I’ve restored these two as slightly more robust forms, and I’ve two more lightly built animals for an another display. Lots left to go but the stories are being told!
I think you’ve absolutely nailed it! 😃🤗
You’re more than welcome! I’m a huge admirer of your work. I particularly love your pen and ink drawings on toned paper and your gouache paintings. Your prehistoric creatures are full of life 🤗
Beautiful! ❤️
What a nightmare this is 😳😵💫
I’m back working in my beautiful studio space, right in the heart of Edinburgh city centre. Round the corner, to the left, is Edinburgh castle. I share the floor with a bunch of super talented artists. There’s a lovely vibe here. All thanks to “Outerspaces Scotland”.
