If you're not familiar with Sebastian Gorka, here's a brief summary:
♦️Think of the smarmiest, dumbest, most egotistical, most dishonest, and most flat-out buffoonish person in the current Administration, apart from the President himself.
...You've just imagined Sebastian Gorka.

Over the course of a decade, I made lots of trips to #Afghanistan and spent time with US troops throughout the country. One thing they all-- every single one-- agreed on:
♦️They felt the US owed Afghan interpreters & other staff far, far more than a mere salary.

This is how we're treating them now:

The fact that they photographed this action shows that they didn't think they'd be punished for it.

He'd be 186 years old...
...So, about the median age for either party.

Spoiler alert:
-It did.

1. Trump saying something has absolutely no bearing on whether or not it is true.
2. But given DeSantis, this certainly sounds true.
3. And him getting any of these posts would be just awful.

I don't doubt Boeing's dirty dealings-- it would be completely on-brand for them.

Lots of stories, though, about Concorde's sonic booms. And the finances of operation just not working. Probably a case of Boeing lobbying against an competitor that would have failed regardless.

So Kevin Warsh said to himself:
1. I think I'll invest with Jeffrey Epstein; and
2. Once his crimes are revealed, I think I'll hold on to those "financial vehicles"; and
3. I've been nominated for Fed Chair-- but no need to dump 'em; and
4. This will never come up at my confirmation hearing.

1. He STILL owns Epstein-created investments.
2. He admits they're morally (maybe legally) inappropriate for a Fed Chair.
3. But he's only going to give them up IF CONFIRMED.

Epstein was no financial genius-- he got rich off connections and grift.

♦️Why would a potential Fed Chair invest with him?

My understanding is that Concorde was, in fact, quite loud. Military jets aren't generally flying supersonic over big cities (ie, those with the voting population to shape policy).

Wouldn't surprise me a bit, though, if Boeing were using its lobbying clout to stifle competition.

Yes-- in addition to being outrageously expensive, the Concorde wasn't very comfortable: Seating was basically Coach, and not many people who could afford it were willing to dish out $12K to fly French-speaking Spirit.

3 hours ago 2 1 1 0

Well, of course we've got supersonic Delta, Southwest and even Spirit flights departing from floating platforms in the Atlantic and Pacific a few dozen times each week.

But once we get some departures from traditional "land-based" airports, that'll truly be wild.

I don't have some sort of fancy degree in Secretary of Transportation-ing, but...
...what, exactly, is "land-based flight?"

3 hours ago 6 1 3 0

Not actually the CIA's job.
But whatevs.

Disqualifying.

What #KevinWarsh so afraid of? Yes, Trump would be pissed if he spoke the true fact that Biden won the 2020 election. So what?

♦️It's highly unlikely he'd pull Warsh's nomination over it. All he'd do is whine.
♦️If Warsh can't accept Trump's whining NOW, what would he do as Fed Chair?

Warsh's response is disqualifying:
♦️If "investments in vehicles set up by Jeffrey Epstein" are legitimate (morally, legally, in any way)...
...why would he promise to sell them ONLY IF he's confirmed?

The primary requirement for Fed Chair is good judgement.
Obviously, #KevinWarsh has none.

Both!

If you still, in 2026, own investments set up by Jeffrey Epstein, you may or may not be getting rich off sex-trafficking...
...but you definitely have judgement too poor to shape the US economy.

In 1918, more US soldiers may have been killed by Spanish Flu than enemy fire.

But the numbers are a bit vague: It's also possible that slightly fewer were killed by influenza. And the 2026 flu variants are probably not as lethal as the 1918 one.

So, there's that.

8 hours ago 3 3 0 0

Correct.

Diplomacy takes patience, awareness of one's interlocutor's interests, and willingness to compromise.

Trump has all but three of these core requirements.

8 hours ago 0 0 0 0

Amen.

It's not a trick question: Any Commander-in-Chief should be-- at minimum-- aware of the servicemembers whose lives rest on his or her command.

Obama & Biden cared deeply about individual servicemembers KIA-- and often showed it (letters, visits with family, etc). Trump couldn't care less.

Fact-check: ✅✅✅

This is the crux of the issue: Any "deal" will be pure window-dressing. To obscure Trump's de facto surrender.

Suggested edit:
♦️The choices are humiliation now, or humiliation after escalation.

There is no scenario under which Iran grants-- or is metaphysically capable of granting-- Trump's maximalist demands (ie, including surrender of de facto control of Strait of Hormuz). Geography is geography.

He SO doesn't understand Clausewitz 101.
♦️Military action is a means to a political end.

If your goal is just "Remove one man, and let the regime go on exactly as before": That aim can sometimes (but not always) be achieved in 45 minutes.

If that's not your aim: Maybe prepare for a real war.

9 hours ago 1 1 0 0

I suspect that you're giving him far too much credit.
I suspect that he:
1. Has no idea of any details about any of the servicemembers KIA.
2. Could not possibly care less.
