“Here a certain clerk and Aelfgyva”

Who Aelfgyva and the cleric perhaps caressing or striking her face were is not known to us. Their stories have been lost to the sands of time but this affecting scene beneath an ornate arch endures.

A hog from a 19th century portrait, expanded and edited so that it stars in the New York City Thanksgiving parade. It is being carried by a group of Ronald McDonalds (which doesn't make sense, but does make sense because the original image was of a Ronald McDonald float).
