It's not hard. It's so easy you can weight paint a whole character without auto weights or weight paint mode.

The amount of times I wish the objects in my games or plugins were part of a database makes me wonder why none of the popular game engines seem to have anything like that. It's usually "make it a standardized file for every object" or nothing.

Like yeah, buns + patty = burger, but what if I add salad? And cheese? What if I add cheese first? What if I wanna add another patty? Can't add all these recipes and make new objects for every permutation, gonna handle that more directly.

Spent a coding session writing a system that would allow me to have 2 objects collide and spawn a new object from it (like physical crafting), fully with external recipe files for easy extension, just to find out that it is useless because every recipe is a bit too specific.

Taking a break from regular streams for April to find the time and energy to create and focus on some other things for a bit. Monthly Karting should be happening on the 11th. I'll keep you updated! 😺🧡
