Kids ARE a burden- and by that, I mean a financial one- to people who can’t afford to buy real estate because of people gaming the system anyway!

THAT’s the solution to this “fertility crisis” everyone keeps going on about (and that doesn’t exist), not babies having babies, you absolute morons!
THEN FIGHT FOR SALARIES AND MINIMUM WAGES THAT CAN SUPPORT A FAMILY ON ONE INCOME, YOU CHRISTIAN NATIONALIST SHILL
Here’s the image:
People are so dumb.
1) This is the icon of a Peruvian saint who happens to be black- the headline might as well be “they really do look the same, don’t they?”
2) This candle and any other images that may (coincidentally or otherwise) be like it WASN’T RETWEETED BY THE PRESIDENT.
Well, sure… go around spouting off that the Vicar of Christ should be “careful” when he talks about
THEOLOGY
what do you expect?
(ps not cursed, just terminally stupid)
“not substantive”
Counterpoint: when they tell you who (their delusions tell them) they are, believe them.
Also: what would your reaction have been if Obama did it? Can we get an honest answer? Probably not…
It also is criminal, and frankly the statement should be cause for impeachment.
Imagine the uproar if Obama had promised this to his staff and cabinet.
@metricmodulation.bsky.social @baroquenmusic.bsky.social check this hilarity out!
Well, sure… but also unsurprising they looked for an example that fit the immediate narrative without considering the full context of the result/aftermath.
The height of historical stupidity… and yet somehow, also textbook American evangelical textual interpretation
I mean, this is hilarious…
AND this cat thinks about the Roman Empire A LOT
(One more: this is the most extreme example of repeating unknown history any of us has ever seen)
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHhahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!
Thanks to that piece of shit OLC opinion, one has to happen before the other.
That’ll preach
Sure, the Avignon Papacy was a thing. But let’s remember the final score:
PAPACY
Still exists, going strong
FRENCH CROWN
Sent packing by the people
Turns out that despots never last too long
To be fair it was a tough decision at the ballot box
Here’s the deal: the President cannot be removed without the Vice President acting (with the Cabinet’s assent).
So, prediction: JD won’t do it until after noon on January 20, 2027- when the term is more than half over. That way he can run for 2 full terms.
Impeach/convict NOW. It’s the only way.
JFC.
The President has nominated this moron for DHS, and “gave a chance” to a guy who is “weak on safety” to run counterterrorism.
This President is incapable of effectively carrying out the duties of the office. Get him out.
Huh… it’s almost like the president is senile or something.
Can they recall him and then court-martial his ass?
He’s a Seal, FFS. A disgrace.

Ridiculous. As in, literally, worthy of ridicule.
This 28 second clip alone could help to bring down the US President.
Trump clearly says this "war" is "not for now", showing there is no immediate risk by Iran. That means, as per the War Powers Act 1973, he has broken the law by not gaining Congress's approval for this action.
-Failure of a president to appoint replacement is an assumed reappointment, or cedes choice to next president
-But, failure of Senate to hold hearings within 90 days waives their right to advice and consent. Silence cannot continue to be a method of withholding consent.

I generally agree, but it can be easier:
-12 year term
-3 successive president terms each get 3 full appointments, all of which start on Inauguration Day of next presidential term
-Appointments for death or impeachment just fill remaining term
-Eligible for one reappointment (total 24 years)

That describes a lot of the modern human condition: energy, climate change, healthcare…
I’m not sure it describes this. Food production takes space, and that’s not infinite.
Ok, but don’t overhype this. Just because Rs aren’t voting in the primaries doesn’t mean they won’t fall in line in November.
Dude, your definition of “burden” leaves something to be desired.
Did nobody at Wharton ever explain the reason for a progressive tax system in the context of the relative size of the “burden”?
Um… sure…
I admit, I don’t know the context of you bringing this up.
The question, though, is: could all of us grow/hunt/gather/catch enough food on said acre to sustain us?
It’s not population density that’s the problem. It’s food availability.
