it’s a sign that they understand they don’t need to evangelize because everyone around them agrees with them. you’ll still see all those trump signs/stickers/flags aplenty in purple areas where asserting that stance is noteworthy to some degree.
it is tremendously toxic and agitating to see people brazenly lie and spread so much hate and so enthusiastically rally around harm - it is very draining and can very easily suck you into just wanting to punch the lights out of the next maga hat you see. it’s very informative in small doses, tho!
if that’s something you might be interested in to get a sense of how people are on the other side of your politics (it’s very informative and catches campaigns long before mainstream media notices), i will say you should not post on the account and you should limit your exposure to just glimpses.
i think having an account that follows all the big names and seeing what crops up around that is much more indicative of the maga/trump supporter mindset than the aspirational/brain candy-type takes promising that trump supporters are jumping ship when really they’re just napping.
obviously there’s accounts that are constantly on the trump praise cycle and doing all that cult-like obsessive fixation stuff, but the overall landscape doesn’t really focus on him much at all.
they do spend an intense amount of time on hating mamdani, of course.
when he does get mentioned, it’s from the side: the real topic is iran or someone else.
he’s treated almost like a constant background presence. not something they’re actively thinking about.
rightwing twitter all operates in a sort of informal lockstep, coalescing around the same rage topic of the day, bouncing from anger to anger. and yet there’s almost a total blackout on *anything* critical about trump. it’s not full of praise for him, either. they just don’t really bring him up.
(freddie used to pee on stuff when he was younger. any clothes left on the floor or rugs. feliway was tremendously helpful. gabapentin is super helpful in the short term for situations where there’s a lot happening, like you’re moving or reorganizing or deep cleaning)

i did that and it was arduous (had to move cushions tucked into the side of the bed for safe baby climbing + that he likes having there bc it makes him feels safe) and it was low quality and made him a little annoyed and upside down bc i filmed it hanging off the side of the bed, but if you insist-

Hate crimes against Jewish New Yorkers has increased. So has propaganda screaming at Jewish New Yorkers from every angle that we need to be terrified and that antisemitic violence is waiting to befall us and we need to attack people who oppose Israel to protect ourselves from it.
Any serious conversation about antisemitism in New York, or anywhere, would not be between two Zionists, and it especially would not include anyone from the ADL.
It would focus on healing the pain of fear and on countering propaganda that binds Jews to evil, hateful, violent things.
Greenblatt et al have no interest in legitimately working to reduce antisemitism or hate crimes against Jewish NYers. They want to fan those flames, fuse “Jew” and “Israel,” & intensify fear and anxiety among Jewish NYers because all of these things reinforce their insistence that we NEED Israel.
