The privileges of academic work in Scandinavia: Holding a team retreat in a beautiful little town in Sweden, with intense discussions and planning but also good wine, delicious fika, a nuclear movie night, late autumn sun and the first snow of the season. ✨❄️

The Swedes know how to mark a special occasion! For my doctoral ceremony, I got a laurel wreath and a banquet in the golden hall at Stockholm city hall. Dresscode was white tie and my wife looked even more dapper than at our wedding. ✨🌿
