It's definitely still about the skillset of the person using the AI. It needs to be guided to implement the right things with directions for the correct desired outcome.
Someone using AI without a full understanding of this is going to ultimately produce a bad outcome. We aren't redundant ... yet.

Well there are 3 things you can be sure of in this life - death, taxes and Carlton choking sometime in the 2nd half…

🤣🤣🤣

ps: I am astonished at how I get charged for usage/requests even if the AI sometimes takes 5-10 times to get it right. It would be like going to a restaurant, having the wrong meal delivered 5x and then being charged for each wrong meal. At some point AI providers are going to need to sort this out.

Disclaimer: I am using this for a side project (not inflicting it on paid clients) - and for a new tech stack/platform I've never used before. It's been a great way to learn new language though and equally a great way to learn how not to do things too.

It is impressive though, Claude Sonnet is amazing - ChatGPT is garbage with a very low hit rate for working code (unless request is super simple/isolated).

The fear is a lot of orgs are going to end up with hugely messy/unmaintainable & poorly architected codebases - tech debt will be huge.

Mostly we get there eventually - albeit some very unmaintainable code. A few times when there was just constant AI fails I told it to roll back the code and forget about feature X.

It reminds me of asking a small child to clean their room & you keep finding messes hidden behind bed/in closet.

My experiences with using AI for coding last couple of weeks :

Me: Add some code to do x
AI: sure here's all the code/changes
Me: No that doesn't work
AI: Oh wait - now it's definitely fixed
Me: Nope
AI: Wait, I'm 100% certain I fixed it now.
Me: Nope
AI: This time FOR SURE..

No I'm not putting a bet on (or suggesting anyone does) - but #welp those odds against Collingwood tonight are looking really depressing. 😓

Let's hope it's a good game to watch at least & they put in a solid effort - a surprise win of course would be nice.

Taylor is a certified idiot. Which part of the word 'export' did he miss here? - 'export' is not a 'we' it's a 'THEM', it's the bit we DON'T get & we end up with 'LESS' of & currently get 'NOTHING' for...
So this way WE get more taxes or WE get more gas (or both) - how is this a bad thing?

Well, preventing Muslims from fleeing a war zone & getting asylum in Australia seems right on brand for ALP - I bet Burke can't wait to compound their suffering & imprison them indefinitely off shore. I guessing they will still be letting in Israeli's & illegal settlers though.. 🤔

Holy crap that's an insane storm - so much rain at once it jumped over the door skirting and flooding our corridor. Yard is getting quite a drenching too. It was sunny/hot/calm and 29C just an hour ago..

Sad Reality Check : When you scrape away the b&llsh!t, most Liberal voters were just a bunch of climate change denying racists - so when another party came along that were better at being climate change denying racists they flocked to them instead. End of story - nothing else to see here.

Totally agree the UN resolutions should be followed here - but why are they specifically calling out Iran here but blatantly ignoring that US/Israel have also violated UN rules/international law by attacking Iran in the first place? Why should Iran listen to this one-sided demand?

It continues to be rather astonishing how US voters can't seem to figure out there's a straight line between US aggression in the middle east and money flowing out of their own back pockets directly into the coffers of big oil, weapons, construction, and military catering companies.

Has the gov considered making ALL public transport free across Australia rn?

Apart from saving a huge amount of petrol, consider all the other benefits like reduced road congestion/pollution. In most cases cost of ticketing systems/enforcement exceeds profits too.

Oh and btw :

- AU gov funding for solar/battery is ~$1.8bn per year.
- AU gov funding for fossil fuel industry is ~$16bn per year.

So yeah there's that too.

TBH I know a very large number of people who went out and purchased (not cheap) new ICE vehicles over past few years who were too 'smug' to buy an EV (which they could have got for the same amount they spent).
I have zero sympathy for them rn. #sorrynotsorry

Ruin your weekend? How Scott Morrison's silly EV scare campaign backfired on Australia Australia could have had three times as many EVs on the road, powered by renewable. Instead, we are pumping dirty fuel into our tanks because of a ridiculous scare campaign.

Great work #ScottyFromMarketing - every sucker who fell for this 🐴💩 & didn't buy an EV is well & truly having their weekend 'ruined' now by the petrol prices.

I doubt prices will ever return to what they once were, soon there may not be any left to buy at all.

Maybe it’s just me, but does anyone else think it’s a perhaps a bit odd that Albanese spent “INTERNATIONAL DAY TO COMBAT ISLAMOPHOBIA” helping the US and Israel murder Muslim people?

Tragically, "change their minds" actually means they have faced serious threats of violence, imprisonment & retribution to their families in Iran or to themselves if they were to be sent back (which could very well happen if the AU gov decides to 'change their mind' in a few years).
