I am glad the Neo Geo remake exists. It is cool that it supports old carts and re-issues are happening. However, I do wish it was happening and funded under any other set of circumstances and for me the current circumstances are enough to not buy it.
I think there is an argument to be made that talking about this stuff hypes it up and may convince others to buy it or whatever cause you are participating in the marketing / word of mouth but I don't personally feel that's necessarily true. Certainly not in every case.
