All pizzas are my favourite.
But if there can be only one, then: prawns, pepperoni and pineapple, with extra cheese.

Bookloverโ€™s Burlesque Festival brings seductive storytelling to Portland and Salem Burlesque, which usually involves a performer removing at least some of their clothing, can be a fun escape, a form of protest or an expression of complex emotions ranging from grief and anger to joy ...

This was not on any of my bingo cards!!!

Bookloverโ€™s Burlesque Festival organizer Lacy Knightly @lacyknightly.bsky.social reads "Witches of the West" by Adele Gardner @adelegardnercastle.bsky.social from my anthology #QueerWeirdWestTales! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘ป๐ŸŒต๐Ÿ“–

I've been there many times over the decades. It does pass, though it never feels that way. I try to gift myself a fallow period. I keep reading, watching, crafting, enjoying other creative things - without pressure. At some point a spark is lit - or I get bored with not writing. Wishing you well!

The graphic provides information about the British Fantasy Awards. The suggestions list closes April 12th. We crowd source titles that are eligible for the awards. You can add your own works at this stage. If no-one knows your work is eligible, they won't know they can vote for it when voting opens. The voting period is from April 16th - May 3rd. This is when voting properly opens. You cannot vote for your own works, but you can campaign. BFS members and Fantasycon ticket holders can vote. Shortlists announced May 19th. Jury panels are May 19th - September 1st. Unlike many other SFFH awards, the BFAs are not just a popularity contest. Once the public voting is tallied, each category goes to a jury of peers for final decision making. Awards are announced at Fantasycon. Two writers stand in front of a mural of a Greek warrior. They are drawing a lucky door prize raffle. The crowd watches on in hushed silence.

Humanism in a nutshell. 1) Putting human beings and other living things at the centre of your moral outlook. 2 Seeing the world as a natural place and looking to science and reason to make sense of it. 3 promoting and supporting human flourishing across all frontiers and championing human rights for everyone.
