"It’s not that our Jewish siblings don’t just feel unsafe, as though this is some failure of psychological strength on their part. They are, in fact, not safe. They are clearly not safe. Not here in the United States. Not in Israel. Not anywhere."

Christians are called Christians because they follow a religion centered around Christ.
(the people take the name from the ideology)
Judaism is called Judaism because it is the religion of Jews.
(the tradition takes its name from the people)
If you’re struggling with how someone can be both an atheist & a Jew in good standing, it’s prob bc you’re assuming “Jew” and “Christian” are parallel terms.
A Christian is, broadly, an adherent of the Christian religion.
A Jew is a member of a people whose distinctive practices include Judaism.
I frequently see people make claims about what Zionists believe. This includes from Jews who are not Zionists. Many of these claims are religious in nature. A thread attempting to navigate through this, told by someone is religious and a Zionist but not a religious Zionist.
A week ago, on Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remembered the unbearable pain inflicted on the Jewish people when we had nowhere to go.
Independence Day celebrates the fact that now, we do.
Shlissel (key) challah
Shabbat Shalom!
Holocaust survivors and survivors of Hamas captivity prayed for the hostages and sang Hatikva together at Auschwitz today.
Two generations, victims of the same antisemitism, still standing.
If this isn’t Jewish resilience, I don’t know what is.
Am Yisrael Chai. 💙
Things I cannot overstate enough: left-wing antisemitism isn't fine. Right-wing antisemitism isn't fine. No amount of antisemitism is fine. If you're going to call out the one, you MUST call out the other. Otherwise, you are only using Jews as pawns and that's also antisemitic.
As ever, the horseshoe in horseshoe theory is used to trample the Jews
Let’s see what motivates this guy to join DOG…oh
There are people who are/act horrified by the images of the released hostages but are ignoring or making excuses for the obvious Sieg Heils
It also communicates to me "I want other people to share my desire to murder your family." The Nazis need to feel powerful to act barbarous and you get that feeling with numbers.
The opposite also seems to be true.
Interesting to me that some people basically understand why a Jewish person would be horrified by a Nazi salute but not why that same Jewish person would be horrified at the sight of skeletal Israeli Jewish prisoners being released from 500 days of Hamas captivity.
Great thread about the joy of learning something adjacent but unrelated to your original goal that is lost with just asking AI for an answer.
As if today couldn't be any more fucked up. #WhereisShiri?

To spell this out: Hamas held a dead baby parade today in which they publicly celebrated the corpses of two kidnapped kids, complete with music and an "arrested on October 7" inscription on the coffins. Then they sent back a random body instead of the children's mother.
Yes
The Jewish memory of the Holocaust is: "You can live in a highly cultured and advanced nation - and yet still your neighbors may turn on you and try to kill you."
Much of the non-Jewish memory is: "Will you people never learn to trust the superior ethics of your many critics?"
The guy who endorsed the German neo-Nazi party was doing a Nazi salute. Everyone who is arguing otherwise is telling you to trust their worthless words over your own eyes and brain.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Have a blintz on your way out.
It's day 472 of the October 7 Hostage Crisis, and there are still 94 hostages trapped in the Gaza Terror Dungeons.
Yesterday we recovered three through a ransom deal and repatriated another body held for a ransom for over ten years.

Chicken and Turkey talking about who has it worse on thanksgiving. Chicken responds "please every hear about shabbat?"
It goes surprisingly well with kasha varnishkes
Speaking over Jews about:
🫀Our identity
📚Our history
🌎Our safety
🇮🇱Our right to live in the land of our ancestors
is antisemitism.
We are authors of our own story—and we don’t need co-writer.
