When it comes to spreading disinformation, dark money buys a lot of repetition, because repetition works.
Repetition works.
Repetition works.
Repetition works.

Rewatch Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
That’s it. That’s the post.
….
Ok it’s not quite the whole post. The movie doesn’t have to be based on a provable conspiracy, since those are really hard to prove, & it’s a movie with cartoons! But there’s plenty of evidence of dark money attacking public transit.

Encyclopedia Britannica sues OpenAI over alleged AI training
Case is one of many high-stakes lawsuits filed by copyright owners against tech giants
"Britannica’s lawsuit said that OpenAI unlawfully copied nearly 100,000 of its articles... The complaint said that ChatGPT produces “near-verbatim” copies of Britannica’s encyclopedia entries, dictionary definitions and other content, diverting users who would otherwise visit its websites."

If we made the green energy transition this war would be unthinkable and these authoritarians wouldn’t be in power — not in the US, not in Iran, not in Saudi Arabia, not in Russia. Hydrocarbons are killing our freedom and just plain killing us.

This. Exactly.
2- and 3-wheeled vehicles have delivered more emissions reductions than #EVs, globally.
And you get fewer children & youth killed by cars. And better cities. Win-win-win.

Oxford's congestion charge generates £1m in a month
The scheme in Oxford generates over three times initial forecasts in January.
The congestion charge in Oxford was brought in on a 'temporary' basis last year. It was anticipated to raise $425K per month, but instead it raised $1.3 million per month, a huge amount in a small-ish city. Why are so many cities leaving money on the table? www.bbc.com/news/article...

Kansas Sends Letters To Trans People Demanding The Immediate Surrender Of Drivers Licenses
"The legislature did not include a grace period."
It seems all Kansas-issued trans drivers' licenses are invalid, effective tomorrow
It is now illegal for trans people to drive a car until they surrender their license at a DMV (that most will need to drive to) and have it reissued with the wrong gender marker
This was never about woman's sports

An official letter from the Kansas Division of Vehicles dated February 23, 2026, with a redacted recipient address. The letter notifies the recipient that due to the enactment of Senate Bill 244, all Kansas driver's licenses and IDs must reflect the holder's sex at birth. It states that the recipient's current credential will become invalid immediately upon the law's publication on February 26, 2026, with no grace period. The recipient is directed to surrender their current ID to receive a new one matching their sex assigned at birth. The document concludes with instructions on how to appeal the notice if received in error, along with contact information for the department.
Kansas is sending letters to trans people telling them that their licenses will be revoked as of tomorrow and that they risk arrest for driving on a suspended license.
This is pure cruelty.

As of tonight, licenses of trans people across Kansas are being invalidated en masse, enabling the overnight criminalization of an entire group of people for going about our lives. It’s often said you never know when you’re living through history, so let me assure you: that’s what’s happening now.

Here’s the thing about the human rights underpinning democracy: they are universal.
As soon as a group of human beings can be slaughtered with impunity because a more powerful group wants them gone, then all is already lost. It’s just a matter of time until the jackboot comes for your face.

Coal power generation falls in China and India for first time since 1970s
‘Historic’ moment in biggest coal-consuming countries could bring decline in global emissions, analysis says
This is huge: For the first time since the early 1970s, coal power generation has fallen in both China & India.
It undercuts claims that decarbonisation is pointless while they expand coal. Renewables are no longer just adding capacity — they’re displacing coal.
