If you use Readwise Reader on an iPad - an easy improvement. Saving the web app to the Home Screen is 100x better than the App Store version. Night and day on the tablet reading experience.

First time using an Ionna charger. Surprised to find them in Kansas now. It was a solid experience!

There is no way to change the email address associated with a ChatGPT/OpenAI account. Your only option is to create a new account with the other email and delete the existing account.

What a joke.

Truly struggle to understand how GeForce Now runs smoother and more consistently while streaming games hundreds of miles away compared to the PC in my basement, on the same local network.

Use NextDNS · Tailscale Docs Use NextDNS with devices in your tailnet.

Also, this is such a cool feature of Tailscale. You can select a different resolver profile for NextDNS (it works for ControlD too) by tag or user. Takes extending IoT or kids DNS filtering to the next level.

I've tried ControlD no less than 5 times over the last two years, but always end up back with NextDNS. ControlD just makes resolution on my devices feel… slower

This is a super cool open source, self-hosted OpenID Connect project. I really love the passkey-only approach pocket-id.org

UniFi PPSK Guide: Consolidate Multiple SSIDs with Private Pre-Shared Keys Tired of broadcasting multiple WiFi networks for IoT devices? I used UniFi’s Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSKs) to consolidate four SSIDs down to two - one password per VLAN, same network name. Perfect for managing trusted Matter devices alongside untrusted IoT gadgets without the clutter.

Discovered UniFi's Private Pre-Shared Keys and used them to cut four IoT SSIDs down to one. Same network name, different passwords = different VLANs. empty.coffee/unifi-ppsk-guide...

While researching, I didn't come across many folks talking about Train Fitness. Maybe the name is too generic and failing the SEO/social test. Either way, it's the app I'm sticking with and the one I'd recommend to anyone with an Apple Watch.

I finally found Train Fitness. It checked all the boxes, and then some. Both the watch app and phone app are top notch, the workout generator is best-in-class, it has auto workout and rep counting identification, and it takes heart rate seriously. It even syncs to Strava. I'm blown away by this app.

Last I tried Peloton Strength+, which is nicely polished, but doesn't incrementally increase weights or provide easy-to-see trends. There are a few others I looked at, like Strong, but were missing key features.

I started with FitBod, which came highly recommended and did a pretty decent job with workout generation, but didn't capture heart rate, and I found the watch app and phone app regularly got out-of-sync. I then hopped over to Hevy, but they don't have a workout generation feature.

I'm on a kick, trying a few different strength training apps. I've been on the hunt for something that works well on an Apple Watch, builds workouts dynamically based on load history, has a good interface for exploring trends over time, and captures heart rate. Bonus points for syncing with Strava.

i'm pretty exited to hear that two of my favorite running platforms, Runna and Strava, are coming together under one roof. Runna is an incredibly thoughtful run coaching tool, and a natural extension of the Strava ecosystem https://www.runna.com/blog/letter-from-the-founders

I'm torn between an Apple Watch and a Garmin as my daily driver. I seem to switch between the two every year, for some reason. I'm leaning towards the Apple Watch for 2025. Will my watch selection impact how much time I spend outdoors?

I've really enjoyed the Rivian's adaptive high beams, but found it difficult to explain without seeing it firsthand. This Reddit post is a great example of how the high beams work, using fog to clearly show what they're doing. Such an awesome feature!

Verizon now offers a second line for $10 a month. For an eSIM on a major carrier, this is the lowest rate I've found. Perfect for keeping your personal and work numbers separate without needing a second phone!

So strange on the “after August 2024” thing. Mine has a 8/24 build date, and I’m not sure if it falls under this designation.
