Ngl it’s going to be hard, but you have to remember that you are not going to change that person. The only person who can change their behavior is themselves. You can only hurt so many people before you are alone. That’s their cross to bear, not yours.
They suck and they have completely white washed the field, but don’t worry, because @alandettlaff.bsky.social and I have ideas.
Deciding to cut contact with a toxic person who you deeply cared for definitely hurts at first, but you will feel so much better when you do. It doesn’t need to blow up into this huge thing and you don’t even tell them. You just decide one day to let them have the last word and you stop responding.
