OSS is a miracle and a curse. Imagine telling your C-suite you want to use a piece of code written by someone outside the company, hosted and managed outside the company and you have no control over their own security hygiene but your business is gonna be built on that piece of code...

It’s a rare book that I read before my wife did and when they announced the movie she listened to the audiobook. Apparently the audiobook is also incredible. I really liked the movie for what it is even if I think the book is better. But at 2.5 hours they couldn’t pack more in my opinion.

…which I think is easy to do when you have a module with an assumed progression. NPCs have some motivations and details. It’s on the GM to remind the players the town will change if they interact with the NPCs and do side quests. My hypothesis is this might be a good AP to run OSR-style 3/3

It’s another megadungeon with themes of occultism and horror. There’s a cool town with enough lore to be a good hub. I’m definitely gonna try to OSRify PF2e the best I can as an experiment. Some criticisms I read is it can be very lacking on the roleplay department… 2/3

Turns out I won’t run Arden Vul. Talking with the players it doesn’t sound appropriate yet for our 2 hours (often more like 1.5 hours) weekly sessions and the idea of a TPK cancelling months of play just didn’t appeal to us. We’re going with a different direction: Abomination Vaults with PF2E re 1/3

Oh 100%. Even if Google didn’t kill it it would never have survived as it was through the first Trump administration, COVID and now AI. Even the rise of TikTok we would have seen Circle Stages to have live discussions like on Twitter and integrated YouTube shorts and stories. I miss what it was.

I once had my ground floor apartment flood. During the repair our insurance provided a container and people to store our things. The guys were smoking INSIDE the container while moving our stuff. I've been doing web development for almost 20 years now and I couldn't figure out how to make my clinic's file upload work. It's a widget on their home page (outside the authenticated area) and when you submit the form it gets a 403. If I can't figure it out, how are typical patients supposed to?
