okay well this might be stupid and naive, i'm not a C# programmer. but is there a way you could just pass the type and other constructor arguments to Add and have it actually call the constructor in the desired way? Especially if you're _always_ adding new objects

go play this incredible game. the first time you get to play it is an incredible experience and if i could have that more than once i'd never be seen again
the bare minimum to create a really good band is two people who think they're in a rock (or metal or hardcore) band and two people who think they're in a pop band. the beatles may have been the first band to do this which is why we can't fucking get rid of them
i am a two issue voter
1. abolish ice (and try them all for treason or something)
2. nationalize the idaho stop
i will support almost any presedential candidate who says they will do this
not wise enough for this one but whatever fate befalls you would have befallen me the same if i were in your position
cool thing about joyce manor is you can pick any album and listen to it like 5 times without a second thought
you say some shit like "zohran mamdani is a good looking guy" or "i admire that zohran mamdani is already following through with his campaign promises" and some "leftists" will come out of the woodwork to tell you how much of a moron you are for thinking any politician is not pure evil
people love to call any bias that involves the survival of something survivorship bias
i really think keeping up with tech news is a huge energy drain on my life. maybe writing code (especially for fun!) does not mean you necessarily need to expose yourself to the thoughts of everyone who writes code, all the time
I find Totorro to be good workin' music, I can't contend with lyrics when I'm trying to think so the instrumental vibes are really nice
one thing people really don't understand is how loud squirrels are. incredibly talkative creatures
any presidential candidate who can promise that i never hear from this guy ever again has my vote
new years resolutions
- write one (1) useful program
- write one (1) haskell program
maybe they will be the same! years are long but my ability to toil without purpose is formidable
I used to think people were just being dramatic referring to twitter as "the bad place" but every time i open that app it's increasingly clear that the algorithm is tuned to maximise human suffering
jock lawyers are bastards
probably nothing built-in, unless there's a good markdown language server I'm unaware of that would provide them as document symbols. but you could probably scrape them from tree sitter easily enough. might give this a shot tonight
i think about the guy that submitted a vibe-coded pr to Ocaml compiler, got told to fuck off, and then submitted an issue saying "i should be allowed to not fuck off" constantly. truly i hate to kick a man while he's down. but i don't think he knows he's down.
nix solves this
cmon man
lol. lmao, even.
maybe I'm just very sensitive to these things but I will say being adjusted to foot's startup time (even without the cool client-server thing) makes ghostty feel absolutely uselessly sluggish. I think firefox might actually start faster on my machine
at some point in the last 24 hours my phone has decided that it is allowed to autocorrect me, something i have strictly forbidden for as long as i can remember. how the fuck do i make this go away again?
i have one of those phillips oneblade (or something like that) ones, the blades need changing pretty regularly but the thing itself has lasted me at least a couple of years. maybe 4 at this point.
this is the only safe place until i finally finish dispatch. good game, spoilers are everywhere
light linear switches might actually be the devil. switched back to my horrible corsair gaming keyboard and it feels so much better than my good keyboard with like, 35g switches or something. sounds way worse though :(
levy makes chess look so much more fun than it is to play when you're not good
the kaishi 1.5k anki deck helped my japanese vocab so much, I haven't been studying lately but there are plenty of words i still remember because of that deck
i read this and was like "damn what did her doctor do for her to say that to his face?" for a full minute
people say making video games is easy but i'm gonna be the one to go out and say i don't think it's that easy
switching to incognito mode to search freaky stuff like "what's the difference between regular olive oil and divided olive oil"
having one of those days where i'm depressed that i can't play outer wilds for the first time ever again. what a game
