I’ve seen 2 code red traumas where subclavian central access (vascath) was inserted on arrival to resus (one with US, one landmark). Both times the operator was scrubbed/ready on pt arrival. I believe the vascaths were lifesaving in these bleeding pts. Just my observation!

I have read a lot of BJA papers re AI lately and tbh the overall conclusion in all of them is “it’s good, it’s not great”. I like chatGPT for certain things and found it useful for revision (it created clinical cases etc) but the carbon footprint is massive so I wouldn’t want to use it all the time!
Last night was my last shift on labour ward before I start my Clinical Sustainability Year 💚
I was gifted with back-to-back-to-back theatre cases 🙈
This wonderful Midwife is Rachel…she brought in a homemade apple crumble and at 5am it was like nectar to my tired soul 💛 The MVP of the shift!
