Surely a result, in part, of my former agency (www.osc.gov) losing its independence thanks to POTUS and the courts…

If UNC is looking for new men’s basketball coach, what about USC’s Dawn Staley? Friend of mine suggested the idea which I think is a great one.
www.politico.com/news/2026/03... HD: does court decision invalidating Lake actions at VOA call into ?validity of acts taken by my successor at Office of Special Counsel (OSC)? Hope so as I disagree with reversal of my efforts to protect probationary workers and enforce Hatch Act against White House
Thinking of and thankful for federal workers, so many of them military veterans. Tried to protect them from retaliation and unfair treatment when their colleague. Punishing organized labor hurts families and weakens USA. #LaborDay #StayStrong
Fergie was an inspiration to me and generations of NC lawyers. Brilliant and humane, he practiced law fearlessly and so effectively. A tremendous life…and loss. My deepest condolences to his family and colleagues.
"As deans of law schools, we have a special responsibility for the legal profession. Recently, the federal government has imposed significant sanctions on the law firms of Perkins Coie, Covington & Burling, Paul Weiss, and Jenner & Block seemingly because of the clients they and their lawyers represented and litigation in which their lawyers participated. We write to reaffirm basic principles: The government should not punish lawyers and law firms for the clients they represent, absent specific findings that such representation was illegal or unethical. Punishing lawyers for their representation and advocacy violates the First Amendment and undermines the Sixth Amendment. We thus speak as legal educators, responsible for training the next generation of lawyers, in condemning any government efforts to punish lawyers or their firms based on the identity of their clients or for their zealous lawful and ethical advocacy."
