Article behind a paywall, but my reaction is that this feels like it could be a propaganda piece to trick women into accepting inferior (abusive) men: "See: if you won't settle and become a trad-wife, they will find a wife overseas and then you'll be a spinster!"

When I see people talk about how great "AI" is at doing a job, I think of this post.
If you think "AI" is great at software engineering, see this thread: bsky.app/profile/oliv...
Tech CEOs like to argue that AI will disrupt entry level jobs that involve research & analysis.
Interestingly enough they don’t say this about tech jobs despite this being where AI seems to have found better product market fit than in displacing junior lawyers and financial analysts.
I wonder why?
Time for book promotion!
A Pox on Fools is a historical indictment of RFK Jr. & his anti-vax allies. I believe it's an important work; advance praise has been great, & I'll be posting examples at regular intervals.
For now, check out this lovely Publishers Weekly piece on how the book came to be:
Just wanted to remind folks, especially the GOP and the FDD, that Barack Obama’s 2015 nuclear deal didn’t give Iran control of the Strait of Hormuz or allow it to keep 60% enriched uranium. It sent $1.7 billion to Iran versus the tens of billions Iran will now make from tolls. 🤷🏽♂️

Maybe he can take some of the $$billions$$ that were allocated to ICE and CBP in the Big Horrible Bill and spread it across the reset of DHS.
But no way can he create money out of thin air to pay DHS.

Nowhere in that description does it say that he puts the lid back on before shaking...
Saw a woman at the No Kings today with that on her sign.

Apparently the utilities are planning to charge interest on the deferred charges. Might be worth figuring out if you can pay it early.

A heroin junkie who bombs his dealer in the name of heroin supply independence is no basis for foreign, or drug policy. An American energy policy focused on getting clean is how you fix this. No one with an EV is exposed to the junkie’s risk, after all.
In 44BC it took 60 senators to stab Julius Caesar to death. Crazy to think that nowadays, thanks to modern technology, he could be killed by one senator running him over with a snowplow

Not sure about the participants, but I've strongly suspected that was the case for the people promoting the protests. Classic GOP ratfuck.
How is this a felony and mega-churches and televangelists aren't?
Oh well. Here comes the enshittification firehose (the replacement is a VC). Either that or this is a last ditch effort: "Figure out how to make our 10x gain on our investment or we'll shut it down as a tax write-off".
A lesser known flaw - prompt sensitivity
We talk much about the "hallucinations" of AI, which is unfortunate term that humanizes them (@anilseth.bsky.social's point, a better one would be confabulation.
What we talk less about is - prompt sensitivity.
I see my rep (Trahan) in that list, but not Moulton.
"You're right, my answer was based on outdated information. My bad! I sincerely apologize for targeting hundreds of children, and hope you'll forgive me for the error. Upon further research, I have identified another epic target and launched missiles at the coordinates 33°48'45.9"N 117°55'08.4"W."
To reconsider a fundamental of American history, the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was not an act of war, but merely a strategic strike. It needs to no longer live in infamy, perhaps.
