10 Signs You Have Traumatic Intelligence The Rarest Form of Smart | Psychology explain YouTube video by Psychology Insight

Holy crap.
Just watched this... started with it on in the background it sort of auto-started... then I started listening, then I was staring at the screen like they were talking right to me personally.

Holy smokes. (Also, I don't think it's that rare :/ )

The most 'take me out of it' unbelievable part of Starfield isn't the creatues, the interface, the unbelievably dated graphics but the fact that literally ANYONE knows what an "armillary" is when I say it to them. Especially when I'm pretty sure they're using it wrong. #starfield

Stopped reading a book when the author spent over seven pages info dumping on me as a man got dressed talking about how he had to hurry. A full page putting on cuff links. When I stopped reading he wasn’t done yet, I just didn’t care any more.

Made sweet potato pies using my gramma's recipe written on a 3x5 card in her handwriting.
It was as good as hers which never happens.
Love her. Miss her.

I mean, it was cool and all, but... I mean... I've got Pokémon Go, and it can put a Pikachu in my living room that I can only see with my phone, too. Unlike the Snorlax on the couch that I can see and hear without the phone some days. ;)

I don't wish to appear ungrateful, but my first experience of the Aurora Borealis was... underwhelming. Where I was (Central Iowa) and when I was (early in the night) it was a gray smudge in the sky with no color. Only through the camera was it visible. I think I need to trip north to be awed by it.

So many Trumplicans on my FB stream (in Iowa) are freaking out about the mayor of a city they've never even been to.

You'd think Taylor Swift went to another football game based on their level of outrage.

I think you meant happy extra hour working in a factory crying about the thirteenth hour lol

I took that picture in 2008 in Ames, Iowa with a camera phone.
They've come a long way since then lol.

First, Ikarus flew.

He rose on wings made of wax and ambition, defying his father’s warnings. The sky wasn’t a limit—it was a siren’s call.

Yes, it cost him. Helios saw him. The wax melted. Gravity remembered.

But he died!
Yeah, we all die.
But HE flew.

Czech Trdelník filled with whipped cream on a plate.

Czech Trdelník filled with whipped cream on a plate.

Yesterday I heard of Czech #Trdelnik for the first time and immediately decided to make it.
It turns out it's a sweet, enriched (VERY enriched bread -- butter, milk, lard, and egg yolks in it) dough rolled in cinnamon, sugar, and crushed nuts that I let cool and then filled with whipped cream.

Like if Chuck P.'s Pygmy were written by someone happy lol. And no, I'm not trying to spell his last name again.

I just finished Abducted by Roy Malcolm. It reads like Chuck Palanhuik wrote poetry. It's happy; the language is beautiful and is still in my head. It's a gay love story in space. I'll do a full review later but it's stuck with me: the words, the characters, the almost lyrical language. #bookreview

Mistakes were made. The red autumnal leaves didn't make an appearance. The batter was so runny it was pouring out the tip as I filled the bag.
Spice cake (good) with apple pie filling (self-made, good) and stabilized rum infused whipped cream. (Good). It tastes a bit blandish. Needed more spice.

Every once in a while my sister and I facetime a Bake Off bake. This time it's a decorated swirl cake. No frosting. If you watch Great British Bake Off you know. This is my goal. Fingers crossed. Tomorrow we're "in the tent." Wish me luck. (Her, East Coast. Me, Midwest)

Absolutely glad I kept going. It was a genuine mistake on my part to think of bk 1 as a book. Had I thought of it as the first part of an epic story, it would've moderated my expectations. You DO refer to it as an epic; it's not like I wasn't warned lol.
Book 2is really good so far & needs book 1.

Book Review: The Grimoire of Kings: Tales of Bramoria: Book 1 Today I finished The Grimoire of Kings, book one of the Tales of Bramoria , and started the 2nd book in the trilogy. The 2nd book is already...

I've written a review of Grimoire of Kings: Tales of Bramoria (Book 1) by @blakerwolfe.bsky.social
Short version: It's not so much book one of a trilogy. It's the first third of an epic. Read it that way. Good world-building, characters, and relationships.

Well, getting a reaction and intense feelings about a character is good... I guess lol. It keeps being recommended to me so I keep trying. But woof. Hard to read one where the protag is so... Tyler. Suggestions for some with likeable mains you've written?

Second try at the series. I'm cheering for the dragon if I'm honest.

@blakerwolfe.bsky.social please tell me Tyler becomes likeable at some point in ToB

You know, maybe Bethesda would get more done if they'd quit working on 20 year old games and put out something new or support their recent new IP with new content.
Jeez.
Only posting this while Oblivion remastered finishes downloading but seriously y'all.

I made Pan de Cristal, Glass bread, it was surprisingly good. I say surprising because I didn't expect a lot of flavor from equal parts water and flour. I was wrong.
I heartily recommend you give it a go if you're a bread person.
