Is it me or does this 2007 Nikon DSLR with a CCD sensor render colors similarly to slides? I really like it. the noise is quite grain-like too

In my experience Fuji slides fare much better. These Provia slides for examples are maybe 2 years fresher than the Ektachrome
So, my hopes that the batch of Ektachrome 64t expired in 2008 might fare better in E4 than other expired Kodak slides I used before have been dashed, even pulling 1 stop didn't do much. I'll try C41 for the next one. At least the resolution is great!

Who needs ND filters when you can simply shoot 40 year old film and blur motion at noon on a sunny day without any issues?
It did! Turns out 3,5 stops was probably too much and I overexposed it a little. The scans could look better, but my scanning setup leaks light with very dense negatives
Same here. The sharpness is just as good as in XA if not better and colors are definitely better. Lack of a rangefinder can be annoying sometimes, but it rarely matters for me

No, it was priced similarly to the original and it doesn't have enough of a weirdness factor for me to really want to get it.
Thank you, Tom! Exactly, some people dislike the rangefinder too, but actually I find it very fast and easy to see. So all in all, I'm still quite positive about the camera
I love Olympus XA because it's a cool little gadget I want to take everywhere with me and renders beautifully, BUT its terrible shutter release with no tactile feedback regularly makes its so I have camera shake on speeds I normally would never have camera shake on, this picture included

Btw, I just finished Ektachrome 64t, shot it at 32 and now I'm having it developed in E4 pulled 1 stop. I heard it makes for great results for expired slides, I'll report back in a week
It actually appeals to me quite a bit - I quite enjoy strong flash effect it seems to give. This would be my second favorite to but after Optima 1535
