Excellent timing on this now that Baron Robert Skidelsky, the famous Keynes biographer, has passed away. He was a Labour-SDP-Continuing SDP-Tory independent who endorsed Corbyn, was denied tenure in the 70s for a very sympathetic Oswald Moseley biography, and was a huge Z head later in life.
(Insert joke about him being of Egyptian descent here)

Next Democratic Presidency should launch an investigation into meat packing plants and drive up prices significantly, and whenever someone objects point to the horrible conditions.
Ever since Ego left the lack of non-Kenan black talent on SNL is really telling
Keynesian meetup meme with the trans furry, communist, Nazi and MAGA
Both are ultimately too unimaginative to be great politicians. They probably are generally intelligent enough, but lack any creativity.

The Platner stuff really makes me understand how like half the guys who spied on leftists for the Tsar ended up in the Cheka
"Folks, they're cursing Abu Bakr, they're cursing Umar, I've even heard they're cursing Aisha, so sad. And meanwhile they love Ali, who was a LOSER, and it's just so sad to see all these big beautiful Persians supporting a loser instead of a winner like me."
Terrorist groups have specifically said they are targeting Canada and Canadians. And on the subject of national security, Trudeau’s critics say he’s a lightweight and a dangerous one. Trudeau’s most radical argument is that Canada is becoming a new kind of state, defined not by its European history but by the multiplicity of its identities from all over the world. His embrace of a pan-cultural heritage makes him an avatar of his father’s vision. ‘‘There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada,’’ he claimed. ‘‘There are shared values — openness, respect, compassion, willingness to work hard, to be there for each other, to search for equality and justice. Those qualities are what make us the first postnational state.’’

"Exploitation is okay if the business is small enough because that's virtuous Gemeinschaft while a business owning a single-family home is Gesellschaft"
The end point of small-holder populism is unlimited handouts to farmers, small business owners, and homeowners while you continue to prosecute big companies for putting fewer chips in the bag.
All my enemies become my maître d's when I dine on the wine of success.
Wasn't there an issue with the voting in Lima or something?
By Howard Kennedy Stars and Stripes • January 24, 1951 FRANKFURT, Jan. 23 — Although they were defeated in World War II, German soldiers and officers did not lose their individual honor, Gen Dwight D. Eisenhower declared this morning as he took off from Rhine-Main Air Base after a three-day visit to U.S. Headquarters in Germany. The Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, heading back to the U.S. after his first quick tour of Atlantic pact nations, said he told West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and other Germans who attended a reception for him last night that there is "a real difference between the regular German soldier and officer and Hitler and his criminal group." "I have come to know that difference," Eisenhower said. "For my part, I do not believe the German soldier, as such, lost his honor. The fact that certain individuals committed, in war, certain dishonorable and despicable acts reflects on the individuals concerned, and not on the great majority of German soldiers and officers."
It's fascinating how Eisenhower could see Buchenwald and then turn around and say this
Donald Trump's history of child abuse, intolerance towards LGBTQ people, imperialistic designs on the Americas, and policies that have led to massive increases in AIDS deaths in Africa are NOT what the Catholic Church stands for
