here in a year! we’re living in very scary times. there really is something to be said about this generation growing up in tragedy. all i’ve ever known is a world post -9/11 wracked with war in the middle east and climate change fears and now fascism hot on our heels. it’s scary. it’s not normal.
i’m currently watching my entire future flush down the drain, just a year from graduating with my bachelors; i don’t know if i’ll have job prospects, i don’t know if i’ll be able to have a house, i don’t know if i’ll have healthcare as a queer person, hell, i don’t know if america will still be
enough to judge a person by. i do want you to go to that protest and help make the world a better place. i do want you to feel welcome in this space of people trying to make things right. at the same time - can you blame how cynical young people are these days, with everything going on?
