37) Super Mario Galaxy
Not the first time I played this, but the first time I went for full completion. I'm done with the Mario part, but still need to redo everything as Luigi, which is a bit tedious tbh. The retroachievements make this even more challenging, but it's pretty fun. Great game.
36) Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
bsky.app/profile/marl...
But yeah, I can't compare the bosses or levels since there's simply too much time in between the two. Didn't care much for the new story being told in Umbrella Chronicles in any case. Sergei is unbelievably bland and the Tyrants in this look stupid. Enjoyed this though, might get some more S-ranks.
First time I played the first game, I only played Darkside Chronicles before. Honestly with so many years between the two it's hard to decide which one's better. Darkside has the shaky cam, but this one doesn't have quick buttons for weapon switching and you can't upgrade your pistol for some reason
35) Mario Kart Wii
Not sure I ever played this one before, at least I didn't log it into Backloggd before, so I guess not? Nothing wrong with this entry, but I think there's also nothing standing out here since you'd never catch me using motion controls for it. Fun to play though.
Also geht es dir tatsΓ€chlich so wie mir πFinde das schon interessant, wie viele Leute Akt 1 als gut und Akt 2 als lahm bezeichnen.
Cringe
They really be stretching the definition of "final" huh π
34) Super Paper Mario

I definitely enjoyed this quite a bit, but don't see myself returning to it any time soon. But it made me interested in checking out the previous games since turn based sounds more interesting for sure.
It kind of wants to be a Platformer, but it's also very RPG-ish with pretty dense item & cooking mechanics and battle gauntlets that take an hour to be beat each. It has writing that feels very Undertale coded at times and at other times it just feels like classic Mario.
The game's honestly a bit tough to rate since it's so all over the place ... There are worlds that are really creative and fun and worlds that are kind of tedious. There's mechanics I like and others I dislike. It's a wild game that feels like multiple games at once at times.
Damn if I beat this one day later I would've beaten the story on it's birthday ... Even got the mastery one day too late. Birthday is placed awkwardly between those two dates π
I agree with him, but honestly don't give a fuck about him talking in some random movie adaption.
Best Pepsi promotion I've seen so far ...
Well, maybe aside from Pepsiman.
Probably my depression speaking, but the thought of pre-ordering the seats, putting on some clothes and then going to the cinema to watch ... The Super Mario Galaxy Movie seems so daunting. How are so many people willing to do this π
What could have been π
33) BeyBlade V-Force: Super Tournament Battle
Pretty random, but yeah. You can beat this in roughtly an hour so I did, lol. Honestly a VERY barebones game with not much to it. Kinda insane that they sold this on shelves. But you can kill a bit of time with this I guess.
32) Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings (Wii)
Kind of a wild game with railgun segments, an elaborate brawling battle system (that gets REALLY tiring on the arms with Wii controls, especially on hard) and your typical raiding of ruins, doing puzzles and climbing. It's decent.
Yeah, the Riku part is kind of dull comparatively. No deck building whatsoever, battles are just always the same.
Don't think so. Proud was kind of dull on the first run, while Critical at least felt like I had to do some thinking. Didn't feel overly punishing imho.
Best experience I had with that game was playing the GBA version with RetroAchievements that had special conditions and restrictions for every boss
31) The Maid-Fuku to Kikanjuu
One of the "Simple Series" games on PS2 and it sure felt that way. Very short and unresponsive game, didn't like it.

So fear works π€
When I got into the tank hangar at the beginning of the game and realized I could just jump over the railing to the elevator it was already clear they fucked up, lol. Also the sheer fact you can just snipe all guards with a silenced M9 ... oh boy.
I really tried to go into it with an open mind when I tried it last (?) year but that version is just terrible to me. Controls that don't fit the level design at all, terrible music, really bad cutscene direction, worse voice acting, ugly character redesigns ... It's so bad.
