my mom was very all-or-nothing about cleaning (among other things, really) and my brain still wants to just do everything perfectly in one fell swoop and doesn't find "5 minutes of [TASK] is still an improvement" convincing yet, but hopefully if I can make a habit of it that'll fade a bit

I've also been trying to spend less time on social, so I made some lists breaking individual rooms in my home into a bunch of smaller (~3-8 minutes each) tidying/cleaning tasks. I'm working on catching myself before I get too sucked into scrolling and going to do one of them instead.

update: in a pleasant surprise to us all, no one more than me, I've actually been trying to do more of this!
