Although I’ll still finish it, it has some occasional nice code examples of how to use something from std. nothing special, but at least if going only through them, as it is only useful info in the whole book, it reads fast, so one more point I guess

It also has so much code error it is painful, and not like logical once, but syntactical. Bro really put “===“ in if statement🤡

But tbh, I still think book that I got is worse, as you could’ve deduced that the book they gifted you is AI slop by cover and probably by year it was written. Mine was done before AI boom, yet somehow its language is worse than of ChatGPT 3.0

That is my another annoyance with Amazon, there are now just too much AI slop books, like another day I saw author who uploaded 30 books on a single day… 30. Each 300+ pages

Tbh and tbf I should’ve read sat for the book earlier whilst I still could return it, as it has at least a page pf both author and editor glazing each others ass, like its some motivational letter from LinkedIn

For anyone who wants to get a nice book on rust, dont get into this trap, get The Rust Book or Lunches Book or In Action one, basically any other book.

Heck, my old book on Scratch programming for kids is somehow more technical than this yorking off rust by author.

The self study questions are not just a joke those are whole circus on their own, mostly useless and repeat themselves through out the chapters and they dont even correspond to chapter material…

It starts off with making a backflip bombshell dive into all types of traits there is. Barely touches the surface on all of them and them proceeds to ask for the 20th bloody time “What borrow checker is for?”

There is too much waffling with word, too much errors and mistakes in the code samples and just not enough info on concepts introduced in it.
