Asking my soul: How long can you sustain that burning period in the atmosphere until you burn out? Will you make it long enough to land somewhere as a meteorite? Or will you burn up as a meteor in the atmosphere? Do I have enough substance to last? How far am I willing to go? Do I have a choice?

Like a meteor ripping thru the atmosphere. This once lost and aimless asteroid must endure immense friction and fire in our atmosphere before it is to land somewhere.

It’s the poetry of art itself, and what it means to be an artist.

I’ve hit that point in my drawing/art studies that I have now fully embraced making mistakes and failing forward. I think every artist hits that wall. The other side is true fearless drawing, fully embracing itself.

My sketchbook is speaking to me. I made this drawing last night, I was disappointed. I listened to the wisdom of failure this morning. It spoke to me with forgiving and kind words. The road ahead is difficult, & what may seem like failure is actually my teacher. To listen is to have mercy on myself.

Imagine their dialogue like
“Omg what?”
“Bro plz, I had a bad dream”

Thanks! I’m slowly easing into animation right now, aside from the draftsmanship itself, I find the patience itself and trusting the process during its ugly phase to be the biggest challenge. I’ll keep at it
