Cursor Directory Find the best cursor rules for your framework and language

I just learned about cursor.directory/rules
This looks like a great way to find good starting points for a wide variety of project types.
My advice: Don't just copy verbatim, adapt and simplify as much as possible

ChatGPT search vs. Google: A deep dive analysis of 62 queries A detailed analysis of ChatGPT search and Google's performance across 62 queries, with scoring metrics and practical examples.

Very interesting article. It shows that SearchGPT, and likely all LLM-based search tools, still have to improve significantly to compete with Google search in usefulness and trustability

Our biological response to threat kicks in twice as quickly, lasts twice as long and is twice as strong as our response to reward.

Antipattern: accidentally increasing threat and not intentionally aligning incentives (behavioural norms not clear, objectives still via role silos)

I copied all my tweets to Bluesky with Porto and it worked pretty well. Two caveats though:
1) It only covers original tweets, not retweets or citations
2) It does not preserve the original date

Sorry about that. I used a browser plug-in to copy all my tweets over to Bluesky and unfortunately it did not preserve the dates. This article seems to be gone now

Michael Green: What the Social Progress Index can reveal about your country
Michael Green: What the Social Progress Index can reveal about your country The term Gross Domestic Product is often talked about as if it were “handed down from god on tablets of stone.” But this concept was invented by an economist in the 1920s. We need a more effective measurement tool to match 21st century needs, says Michael Green: the Social Progress Index. With charm and wit, he shows how this tool measures societies across the three dimensions that actually matter. And reveals the dramatic reordering of nations that occurs when you use it. TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). Look for talks on Technology, Entertainment and Design -- plus science, business, global issues, the arts and much more. 4 Ways to Communicate with More Empathy The pandemic and other stressful events over the past few years have only made empathic communications even more desirable and necessary, especially as those expressions have become more virtual — including videos, social media posts, and emails. But just as each of us has varying levels of empathy, not every leader is equally empathic. So is a lack of natural empathy a showstopper when it comes to expressing and benefitting from empathic communications? No. The good news is that all leaders (even those who are not naturally empathic) can communicate messages of empathy as powerfully as they convey messages of unity and accountability. During challenging times, the most effective leadership communications are ones that deliver attention, acknowledge distress, demonstrate care, and — not necessarily at first, but eventually — take appropriate action to mitigate the situation or at least provide comfort. This article offers four touchpoints to focus on in your communications.

How Leaders Can Escape Their Echo Chambers While leaders are broadly aware of the importance of creating a psychologically safe culture to encourage candor, they are less cognizant of how subtle leadership behaviors can get in the way of people speaking up. In this article, the author shares behaviors that leaders might not realize shut down dissenting perspectives and offers guidance about what to do instead. Taking these actions will help you step outside the bubble of agreement where many leaders unwittingly exist.

Nice recommendations on how to keep feedback flowing as you get into leadership positions. Unless you actively do something about it, you will not get it. Worse, you won't even realize it
