Palantir put out the most cartoonishly evil statement possible. They’re so arrogant and self-confident they don’t seem to believe their fascistic plans can be opposed.

We must get rid of Palantir altogether.

Asian stage races be like "Salby and Rajovic wins a stage and Astana gets the GC"...

I am once again asking Astana to just sign Alex Salby, because they're doing the same calendar anyways.

I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

If he approaches a grand tour like he rode Itzulia, he'll likely run out of fire power before the 2nd rest day, and it'll be absolutely normal and okay and also very expected imo.

Especially since durability and stability seems to be qualities most GT riders develop over time.

The hype is wild atm

I don't think it's a scorching hot take to assume that the 19 yr old who has faded somewhat (not catastrophically so, but still noticeably anyways) over the course of the 5-8 day stage races he's done so far, may crack or at least fade over a 3 week GT... Tepid take maybe?

I'm with you on this one.

Jorgenson, Halland Johannesen and one of Izagirre/Vauquelin/Godon in any combination.

All 5 would make me happy.

Oh no. Morgado was at it as well.

It's not just one rider and it's not the first time.

Oh absolutely. It's also why his statements can't tell us anything about his 2027 schedule.

I think what I have come to realise today is that “when Wout wins everybody wins” 🥰 I’m on cloud 9 today.

Did they not watch the race? Wout had two bike changes as well.
It's not like both chase backs from him happened off-screen.
It was shown repeatedly.

And I'll maintain that the 1st Pog issue was made infinitely worse by how badly him and the team handled it. That mess was of their own making.

Wout had two bike changes too.

1st one after Mads before Arenberg and 2nd one from the small group post Arenberg.

That was all. Have a lovely day everyone 😊

Five years after his death at Paris-Roubaix, Michael Goolaerts rides on in memory For Goolaerts' parents, it's important Michael's name is not forgotten.

If you want to read about Michael Goolaerts....

I wrote this with his parents 5 years after his death. It was my 1st article on @escapecollective.bsky.social.

Still in touch with his mum, on his birthday, the day he died and yesterday of course ❤️

I still think "like Pog in Flanders22" is the perfect saying to describe fucking something up in a way that shouldn't be even possible.

His yelling after the line was NOT an example of losing magnanimously.

He has Romandie and Suisse on the calendar this year, so if he gets those plus Itzulia he'd beat Rogla to that "all the big old ones" crown.

He had an embarrassing showing against Roglic and Jonas there in the past and he seems to always want to erase such things.

Plus UAE just had a BAD itzulia 🫣
