Like, I have problems with their being too much base content AND that what's there doesn't actually feel like it delivers on the idea it's setting out to because of fundamental rules being poorly written. Adding more content from amateur game devs is not going to rewrite WOTC's bad code.

Step away. I've been the forever DM for going on 12 years now, and I've dealt with my fair share of hardships. I managed to DM games while dealing with depression, eviction, home renovation, and the odd disaster or two. Sometimes, though, life gets me down, and I just need to skip game and sleep.

So I had a very cool thing happen to me. My therapist wants me to write my science fantasy novel, even if it's just a few paragraphs at a time, and he wants me to share my progress with him as a means of getting over my art trauma. I'm genuinely so excited, I've never had an opportunity like this!
By the way, everyone should be able to transition if they want to, and anyone who is out to restrict transition or make it harder in any way is evil. Access to transition is a core part of my politics re: trans issues.
Trans people who decide not to transition for any reason are still trans though
This is genuinely one of the things I struggle with most. My inner critic is so strong that, whenever I try to write the things that make me happiest, I'm paralyzed. Not good enough, not original enough, too tacky, too cliche, too boring. Makes creating my art feel so draining.
