Where has it been for the hundreds of Black and brown people who don’t survive police arrests, who die at their hands?
Spare me your tears for Ben Roberts-Smith.
If you have a problem with the police, at least be consistent.

A boy who was wrongly identified, profiled because he was Aboriginal, searched even after police realised they had the wrong person.
An innocent child, just trying to get home – publicly humiliated, a gun drawn on him.
Where was the outrage then?
People are expressing outrage about how Ben Roberts-Smith was arrested, saying it was too public. He was arrested with no cuffs, not a hand on him, despite facing allegations of war crimes.
I can’t help but think of the young Aboriginal boy wrongly arrested at gunpoint by the AFP on a Canberra bus.
I stand in solidarity with my brothers and sisters in Lebanon, and the Lebanese community in Australia, whose homeland is under attack.
This is the minimum necessary to show that we do not accept accept Israel's violence in Lebanon, or their continued violence in Gaza despite the so-called ceasefire.
The weak words of concern offered by Penny Wong and the Prime Minister are not enough. We need proper accountability and real action.
The Albanese government must act.
Australia should impose sanctions, expel the Israeli ambassador, end all military cooperation with Israel and the US in the region, recall the Wedgetail surveillance plane and all defence personnel, and stop intelligence sharing from Pine Gap.
Israeli ministers have been openly calling for annexation. They want to colonise Southern Lebanon and turn it into a new Gaza.
Netanyahu acts with impunity because his allies, including the Albanese government, refuse to take meaningful action.
These actions threaten the whole world. Israel's violence will drag us all down. Right now, the world stands with Lebanon, and against Israel’s violence. The world wants peace.
Israel’s attacks in Lebanon are horrific. They've killed over 250 people and wounded more than a thousand in the last day. 1.1 million people are displaced.
Lebanese people are paying the ultimate price. But Israel’s violence is also undermining the ceasefire and reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

I will keep pushing for justice for Kumanjayi White’s family, and for all families whose loved ones have been taken by the system.
This is what we get when cops investigate cops — silence, delay, secrecy, and no justice for our people.
No one has ever been held accountable for our people who have died in prison or at the hands of police.
It needs to change.
We’re quickly approaching a year since Kumanjayi White died in custody, and still NT Police have made no prosecutions and given no resolution to the family.
The family has been kept in the dark, and police have refused to release the footage of what happened.

This is a regime that the Albanese government is still backing. Absolute shame on them.
We cannot look away from Palestine.
Utterly horrific. Two young boys and their parents shot in the head by the IDF in the occupied West Bank while returning from a Ramadan shopping trip.
The soldiers then beat and taunted the two surviving brothers, telling the boys they 'killed dogs'.
And I look forward to seeing NT Labor and the Minister for Indigenous Australians protesting with the people against this!
The Albanese government has so far refused to listen to Traditional Owners who have not consented to the destruction.
Now we’ll see if Albanese is willing to listen to his own colleagues in the NT, who have just campaigned against the federal-led project in the Nightcliff by-election.
The opposition to the destruction of Binybara Lee Point has grown to the point that even Territory Labor is calling for a halt to this disastrous project.

Pauline Hanson is not challenging the elites, she’s one of them. She’s using her position to protect her own interests and back her billionaire mates.
While she distracts with division, the battlers and people she says she stands for are being left behind.
Over recent years, One Nation has been forced to repay over $200k in wrongly claimed election spending. It's not clear how much personal wealth Hanson has, but she recently loaned $245k to her own party and refuses to say where the money came from.
She has previously failed to declare gifts from billionaire Gina Rinehart, failed to properly disclose business interests and shareholdings, and her daughter has been installed into a plum $180k taxpayer-funded role in a One Nation office.
She claims to stand up for working people, but today we've found out she billed taxpayers thousands of dollars for flights and chauffeurs to attend One Nation fundraisers.
Senator Hanson can distract with culture wars and call me a bitch as much as she wants - her record tells the real story of what she's about. 🧵
It is completely disingenuous for the Minister for Indigenous Australians to claim she stands with our people against David Connolly.
Her own government signed off on his appointment and holds the power to remove him, but refuses to.

Malarndirri, now that you’ve found your activist voice, I guess I'll see you at the next deaths in custody rally?
And I’ll expect to see you fighting just as hard to get 10-year-old children out of prison.
It’s the same refusal we see when it comes to using federal powers to stop the NT Government from targeting and locking up our children.
That power exists but the Albanese government refuse to use it.
By failing to act, they are part of the problem.
Their inaction sends a clear message that they still endorse this man, no matter what the Minister may say at a microphone. She’s protesting something she can change.
The Minister for Aboriginal Australians, Malarndirri McCarthy, was there. She denounced the new Administrator.
But it is completely disingenuous to claim she stands with our people against David Connolly when her own government signed off on his appointment and holds the power to remove him.
Eric is a staunch defender of his Country and his people. It is utterly shameful that police would treat an Elder this way on Larrakia land.
NT Police must publicly apologise.
This morning, as mob and allies gathered in Darwin to protest the appointment of racist NT Administrator David Connolly, NT Police arrested and manhandled respected Larrakia Elder Eric Fejo on his own Country.
