Great news. Can you please advocate for ODA funds for NIHR and other Global Health Research? A lot of us research scientists have very few options for Global Health. Thanks for getting London Bridge train to stop at Plumpton!

Feeling very privileged and fortunate to be at #CROI2025 when many colleagues cannot be here due to political and/or visa issues. Looking forward to reconnecting and meeting new people. We have 5 cryptococcal meningitis posters on Wednesday - come on down!

Very clear outline of how and why the PEPFAR cuts will have devastating consequences in SA where 17% of HIV programme is PEPFAR funded. Impact on other country programmes with be even worse. This is an absolute disaster and an act of intense cruelty

Thoroughly depressing to see that the UK international aid budget is being cut to 0.3% of GDP, having relatively recently been reduced from 0.7 to 0.5, and increasingly being used to fund domestic rather than overseas activity. This will impact the world’s poorest and most vulnerable communities.

🚨New preprint (not yet peer-reviewed)🚨

Identifying advanced #HIV disease supports life-saving treatments. But access to CD4 testing is now really challenging.

Unfortunately, clinical staging is not accurate to identify AHD: we need more investment in CD4 testing!
