Baseball is so back.
My splurge for landing my first full-time job (benefits and all!) was to replace my old keyboard with a Keychron V1 max w/ Huano Sakura switches. Typing has never felt so good.
Now... we return to gamedev!
Losing TCG Pocket battles to coin flips feels so bad dude. Failed 4 sleep checks in a row and lost because I couldn't play the game. Next battle my opponent immediately got 6 heads in a row with Misty and their Palkia ex wiped me in 3 turns.
The NHL took notes from the World Baseball Classic and now the NFL and NBA need to take notes from the 4 Nations Face-Off.
We got Ohtani striking out Mike Trout to win the WBC and now Connor McDavid scoring on Hellebuyck to win 4NFO. The formula works!
The Phillies have:
- Schwarbs, Realmuto, & Ranger in contract years
- ๐ pitching, โ outfield
The Orioles have:
- ๐ซ vet playoff bats ๐ซ front-line starters ๐ซ at-bats for Basallo
- tons of outfield prospects
DD & Elias already have a trade relationship, surely this comes up at the deadline?
The ONLY thing I miss about FL (besides family) is the utilities being able to handle any weather < a hurricane
We had a stiff breeze at lunch in MD today and the power won't be back until the same time tomorrow
Kendrick Lamar managed to piss off all the right people.
Well done.

ME: did you save it?
ONEDRIVE: hypothetically, yes
Actually had something cool and positive happen this week. So let me share that since we could all use some good news. kfor.com/news/oklahom...
It's good that there's a 25% tarriff on imported coffee now. This will incentivize people to purchase American coffee, grown in the New Jersey coffee forests
Mahomes is cracked and they let me continue rooting for a Kelce bro, so that's fun. But I think league parity matters way more in today's sports. Every Sunday there's another deluge of articles/posts about the Chief's latest "controversial win" (true or not) and it's gotten old.
Mom played Pokemon with me sometimes (I had Diamond, she had Pearl, etc) but eventually games would give her bad motion sickness (why I focus on accessible UX now) so we couldn't play any more.
When I told my dad, on the other hand, that I wanted to work in games, he told me I'd be ruining lives ๐
Spawning 100000 shovels for no reason (I'm glad the engine handles that smoothly though)

Internet user whose computer is possessed by a demon: yeah so there's teeth coming out of the CPU socket and the graphics card fans start saying "hail satan" when temperatures are over 70 degrees
Linux Guy: You should install Linux.
here's looking forward to an incredible week of: doing my job
My feed is such a wild mix of sabremetrics, gamedev, FOSS, and now with AGDQ in full swing, speedrunners.
This app is awesome.
I keep trying to play Stardew Valley to relax only to get stressed out by planning the days for maximum farm efficiency and worrying about getting all the chores packed into the days. It's a more stressful game to me than Elden Ring or any survival horror game

Grateful for 2024 and even more so to be leaving it.
Excited to create and grow in 2025!
Ode to a Pre-Alpha Test: behold: a bright red door clearly marked EXIT above it, flickering, a fluorescent bulb (recently added) framed in the doorway your npc companion waving, pointing barks โhey look, the exitโ itโs been (the longest) 17 minutes you still haven't found it
in regards to yellow paint:
Took the whole night and almost a quarter spool of filament but it was worth every gram.
Cubone skull prop sitting on a coffee table
Freshly 3D-printed Cubone skull held up by supports on the print bed.
3D printing has taken me to new frontiers such as: decorating my living spaces.
This time it's a Cubone skull!
Xmas eve and I finally have a day off. Am I finally taking time to relax?
No. I printed out a bunch of little cubes to test the compressibility of grid, gyroid, and honeycomb infill patterns at 15% and 10%.
Long story short, honeycombs are expensive and I'm a gyroid fanboy now.
Filament is Duramic 95A, printed on my Bambu P1P
A small 3D-printed tugboat printed from white material.
The small 3D-printed tugboat is squeezed and folded in the hand.
Haven't been able to get a good TPU print to save my life but FINALLY found some good settings and this beautiful Benchy came out of it
