My game Endling is a journaling game about being the last human. While it doesn’t explicitly force the player to think about grief, the prompts are mostly about memories, which are almost certainly going to contain both grief and death.

My Dungeon Design Process and the February update.

This is a very cool peek-at-process by @mallenhall.com . I love getting to see the notebook pages and maps-under construction!

Unguided just means the tester received the rulebook and nothing else. As opposed to a test where the game designer either participates in some way or at least verbally explains the game in addition to what’s in the rulebook (“guiding” the play).
