Good job Sam! You made amazing progress! 😀
Here's my latest milestone celebration, followed by my present thoughts now that I've shared all this!
Panel 1: A tech bro strides across a stage. The word “PeoplBOTS” is in huge letters behind him. He says: “Our journey began with a simple question:” Panel 2 “Can we create a robot that is enormously powerful, but also completely safe?” Panel 3 “The answer to that question was 'No'.” A huge red armoured metal robot trundles across the stage belching smoke. It has a flamethrower for one arm and large shears for the other. Its eyes glow meanly red. Tech bro announces “So I give you: Dangerbot900!!”

Experimenting a potential pixel art style for Mega Drill.
The current graphics are very much "placeholders that are a bit too pretty for placeholders but not good enough for the final game". It's past time I think about how the game should look like.

Check out our upcoming game Mega Drill : World Domination and hit the Wishlist button if that's down your alley!
Coming in early access late 2026 or early 2027 (hopefully).
Good idea. I'll do that, thanks. :)
In my mind, being faithful to yourself and honest with people are good things.
I'm a lot like that too. I have to be careful how I say things though but I'm getting better at it.
Battles in Destiny Spire might be a little different than some RPGs so it’s probably a good idea to try the tutorial battle before leaving the safety of the castle. You can try for yourself in our demo 👇

Oh wow! Thank you so much. What beautiful words about my little game, I'm very grateful. :)
Volume 3 of Syl's Indie Game Recs, my zine where I recommend a bunch of small games I loved, is up!

You can now loot your dead friend’s stuff!
We’ve just added loot drops on death, and we’d love to know what you think the best setting for it should be.

call of the wild (2025)
A screenshot of a two pages spread from the in-game journal. On the left is the drawing of a sumac tree with a note reading "Sumac fruits can be turned into lemonade or a fantastic, tangy spice." On the right is a drawing of a bird with the note "Red-wing blackbird are aggressively territorial. Appropriately, the way they sing reminds me of cartoonish war sounds." Also a drawing of water striders with the note "Sometimes I feel small and insignificant but working in the gardens is humbling. Even the smallest things, like these water striders have their role in the grand scheme of things.".
Working on the writing for Greenpatch Garden. Sometimes informative, sometimes funny, sometimes self-reflective.

my cool ass game is on sale now!!
Demon's Crest for SNES is one of my favorite games for the console.
I always loved how dark, atmospheric, and gorgeous it is, and I really like the different types of gargoyles that Firebrand can morph into.
If you're looking for a Gothic Horror platformer, I can't recommend Demon's Crest enough.
“If you give ppl UBI, everyone’s just going to be making pots or painting or something!”
Good!! Good! Can’t express how much more I want to fill my home with pots and paintings than with a stovetop that inexplicably connects to the internet.
I'm legit addicted to drawing shiny things

Improved mouse navigation of save slots & added content to them based on the save data system I'm working on. Saving that content to a slot sort of works (with bugs to troubleshoot) but doesn't save an actual file yet.

Latest music album I'm obsessed with:
Animal by Lump
Lump is a collaboration between Laura Marling and Mike Lindsay. I knew Laura Marling, which is how I discovered this album. It's absolute gold. Gives me shivers.

Despite my username being PIKMINjake, my followers are 99% Monster Hunter fans. 😅
So please if I have any Pikmin moots, help boost this so it can get to its intended audience! 🙏

The Best Tool trophy for GMRoomLoader just arrived last night! There's something special about holding a physical object as the result of work that only ever exists on a screen.
Thank you to everyone who voted, and to the @gamemaker.io team for making this happen!
