Skysports news, "we want our Chelsea back" banner at the game last night. What Chelsea might that be? You won two trophies last year!

We set the rot in, haven't won, or scored since. That's quite telling looking at how piss poor we are atm

Even if Trump believes this nonsense,he doesn't understand that Iran is willing to take the hit. Unlike Trump, it's not about the money. Also, I think he'll find Iran closed the Strait before his blockade

Arsenal! Didn't they pull some stunt after the war to get in the top flight? Spurs still bleat on about it

True, opposition plays a part, but that in itself is subjective. I'd argue there are a lot more decent sides now. Newcastle came up and finished 3rd, Ipswich and Forest something similar. These days, it's an achievement just to stay up. Plus, arsenal lost in all the cups. Just my opinion

A man on skynews, while talking about Starmer, just called himself a long-suffering Arsenal fan. How long will waiting for a trophy qualify you as long suffering? Domestically, surely it's 70 years or so?

I did say it was an achievement. Of course it is, but imo people get obsessed with being unbeaten, 3 points for a win were introduced, so teams would go for the win rather than settle for a draw, with obviously more risk of losin. 3 games W D D unbeaten 5 points. W L W lost a game 6 points

The original post is about Benfica, I used Arsenal as a reference. Yes, they won the league, but many people herald them as the greatest winners. My point is that the greatest team has the most points, not the least defeats. To emphasise that I compared them against other winners

As I say to Arsenal fans. Not losing a game in a season is an achievement, but it's about accumulating the most points. Arsenals' invincible total has been better ten times. they'd have finished 3rd twice.
