They did the Amani really fucking good in Midnight so far, so if they touch on the Drakkari in TLT I hope they keep that momentum going to give them more nuance

There's a lot of potential to be made out of a narrative of "a near-extinct troll tribe trying to survive after losing their home, scattered across Azeroth keeping what remains of their history and practices alive" if it's written with grace and proper sensitivity

Because last time we ever directly tackled them was during a time in the game that any non-Darkspear trolls were written as shallow villain fodder, so all the lore they have boils down to "Oh yeah they were BARBARIC and SCARY and lost their empire to the undead lmao, sucks to be them I guess"

It's so funny how me updating my OC to be half-troll ends up filling in a lot of blank spaces in his story I previously had trouble with before, but then simultaneously fucking myself over bc I chose to make him half-Drakkari specifically which y'know?

some more draenei/eredar biology stuff! @xyzeal.bsky.social and I theorize that their physiology is adapted for the lifestyle of semi-aquatic predator. their tendrils are whiskers that are sensitive to motion and vibration, and their tails are wide and thick for swimming (kinda like crocodilians) 👍

some tots. I like to think draenei tails have limited prehensility, allowing them to carry (light) things in the way opossums use their tails to haul nesting material. kids in particular might do this to make sure their favorite toy is always at hand

Umbric was the realest character for being like "okay but what about the fucking World Core??" as we're all singing Kumbaya around the Dawnwell

The leveling campaign? Fucking peak

The endgame campaign? Ehhhhhhh, needed more room to make it stick the landing

The side quest storylines? Also perfection

In this case, I blame it on the way the World Soul Saga is being paced at breakneck speeds, if they allowed to have more room to pan things out slowly, then the story would be able to address all the nuances and unexplained plotpoints that seemingly got dropped on a whim

The main story has been sloppy as hell for me for years now, so I'm at a point where even when I fundamentally agree with how badly they'll fumble plotpoints, I just throw my hands up in the air like "Welp, fuck it, I will simply brew my own ideas to address the elephants in the room"

The key to surviving as a Warcraft fan is to fill in the gaps of rushed plotlines with your own events and headcanons because personally? I am smarter and sexier than Blizzard
