He was comfortably as good a teacher as he was a writer. Such a massive loss to Australian fiction.

Ahhhh shit! He was a good bloke. My high school ran a week-long writing retreat with him at one of his properties. It was a really incredible experience, I nearly burned down a building and had an existential argument with one of his highland cows.
Also did some good writing.

It's very good. But I'm also a proponent of if a game doesn't grab you, you don't have to play it just because it's popular. There'll be a billion story summaries out there.
