We began with a welcome address from DSAI Chair, Assoc. Prof. Susan Murphy giving a detailed background about DSAI Annual Conference and its journey to date, followed by remarks from Kate O'Donnell (Irish Aid, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade).

It was an honor to hear from Dr. Allison Stephens and Patrick Lansley (Research Ireland), who presented on the range of funding opportunities. Isabella Rae (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade) emphasized the importance of supporting research to inform and strengthen policy development.
