I loved that book and movie.

In 5th grade I was selected as one of a few students to adapt it to play for our school, it’s one of the coolest memories of school I have. And also the only screenplay I’ve written 😂

I have that “I feel like I’m forgetting something” feeling constantly and a pit in my stomach telling me something isn’t right.

So. It was May. And now it’s almost August. And I don’t really know where I’ve been or what I’ve been doing (that’s a lie. I’ve been momming and day jobbing and swim coaching and summering.) But I’ve missed my writing self. So here I am.

Def a good tip! In this case the characters made it clear they weren’t done so I couldn’t stop where I thought the end was. And it’s definitely been for the best. It’s “done”… now to just rewrite the parts that don’t make sense because of the new ending 😂

Sometimes it’s good to mix it up. I will forever love my original series and am not done anytime soon, but have other projects in play for a while before I go back to her.

Personally I’d love to find a community of writers that are equally obsessed with talking about writing and wanting to bounce ideas off each other and commiserate about the hard parts and make it feel like it’s not *quite* such a solo endeavor, without feeling like we’re trying to one up each other.
