*impressed whistle* really looking forward to reading it!

Visiting a friend in the UK. I didn't know that nursery rhymes had different tunes over here. I have the new version of Hickory dickory dock stuck in my head. ⏰🐀
I love city vacations, I get so many steps! Today I got to 19.8k. then I ate a ton of delicious pasta, bread and cheese.
Why do I feel obligated to keep books that I will never read again? Just spent an hour going through my 3 main floor bookshelves and only found 21 items to pass along. It barely made a dent.
I have discovered a bunch of incredibly talented artists through fan art in the two weeks since I fell head first down the Nirvanna the Band and Show fandom rabbit hole. #ntbts
Hurray for physical media!

Thanks for sharing this gem! I have vivid memories of seeing the movie with my family and think of it often. I never knew about the other title.
10 years late, but Fleabag is phenomenal!
Lousy Smarch weather!
"I'm going to swing by the store on my way home. Do you want anything?"
"Yeah! Could you grab me an orbital sander? It's in aisle 16."
I suppose it's on me for not clarifying that I meant the grocery store.
This is incredible! I was reading about it on the subreddit on the weekend, wish I had gone!
I've been taking bass lessons for about 7 months now. I can barely play along with a single song because I can't stop asking music theory questions.
graphic that says in bold lettering "remember: no lilies for kitties. even ingesting a tiny amount of pollen can cause fatal kidney failure. don't risk it." the background is a wallpaper of lily drawings and there is a photo of a perfect, fluffy white cat in the bottom right corner.
This weekend and always, NO LILIES FOR KITTIES. www.fda.gov/animal-veter...
Oh yes, the Lindy West discourse was intense last week.
I love Detroit! I miss its buildings and its people.
A few of my classmates had those shirts, and I think about it far too often.
He began his conversation by asking which path we had come down because he lost track of us when we left the parking lot. He clearly doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut because that's at the top of "things you don't say to women".
This happens all the time. A friend and I were on a walk in the woods and a random older white guy approached us and started complaining about how everything is awful ever since feminism started in the 80s. The wildest part is that I think he expected us, two women, to agree with him.
Thank you! I'm going to bookmark this and check it out soon.
Are you a long time fan of Nirvana the Band the Show? It sounds right up my alley, but I missed the original wave, and am not sure if I need the context of everything that came before.
Dave brought a lot of context to elements of the animation I just reposted!
This film was one of the biggest influences on Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Seeing it for the first time, Miyazaki told his friend, "I guess we’re failures, aren’t we?"
This is Crac -- the first masterpiece by animator Frédéric Back. We explore: animationobsessive.substack.com/p/the-lament...
This made my day!

2 panel comic Panel 1 is titled “Client Feedback (2012) Red Guy sits at his desk typing on his laptop. There is a bubble on the right hand side of the panel showing his screen. A small text panel says “and the”. There is an arrow pointing to the bottom of the words with a correction box that reads: “Text is slightly misaligned. Please fix” Panel 2 is titled “Client feedback (2026) Red Guy is slouched on chair typing into his phone. His phone screen shows a panel of text that is complete gibberish. This time the correction reads “not alphabet but who give a fuck”

Started watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms last night. I didn't expect it to be so thoroughly delightful. The first 3 episodes have all been a joy!
A spread in a small notebook collaged with Christmas elements including postage stamps, wrapping paper, stickers and a gift tag.
A spread in a small notebook coloured in a gradient of red, orange, yellow and green. Various types of peppers have been drawn overtop, and three produce stickers from bell peppers are stuck on top of a few of the drawings.
Being creative outside of work hours has been a challenge for me this year. I started a Field Notes book for collage and small creative experiments. So far I've done one spread each in January and February. Both ideas floated around in my brain for a few weeks before I made the time to create them.
It was poor planning on my part to attend an event at an art gallery and neglect to arrive 2 hours early. There are some intriguing exhibitions on and not nearly enough time to see them.
A local favourite, an award show contender, a very special special, and a classic viewed for the first time.
