Is the prime minister not available or something? Odd that they haven't had Keir out knocking doors yet.

Staggering, unforgivable, unacceptable, shocking, but enough about my performance as PM, Peter Mandelwho? Never heard of him.

Keir Starmer in 2020: "I had 8,000 staff as Director of Public Prosecutions and when they had victories I celebrated on their behalf and when they made mistakes I carried the can.

So much of the Mandelson affair involves people making objectively insane decisions and thinking, well, this surely will not blow up in my face -- despite substantial precedent that, where Mandelson is concerned, it really will definitely blow up in your face.

Starmer faces calls to resign over Mandelson vetting Premier accused of misleading parliament about checks on former minister before being appointed ambassador to US

Ok but on the other hand you can see why they thought a guy who was technically unfit to hold the post was perfect to be US ambassador www.ft.com/content/f0f5... via @FT

It's yet another sign that he's not up the job that online randos spend more time making the case for him than he's prepared to do himself!

Starmtroopers are such an interesting bunch. Online Boris fans were understandable in that they all seemed to be joyless freaks, but hardcore Starmerites would have you believe from their bios that they have many cultural and intellectual interests yet choose to spend their On Here fighting for him.

Nigel Farage pledges to deny asylum seekers access to NHS HIV treatment Nigel Farage pledged yesterday (14 April) that he will double down on his 2015 promise to ban asylum seekers from HIV/AIDS NHS treatment.

Since 2012 the UK has treated all people with HIV, irrespective of nationality or immigration status.
Treatment prevents HIV transmission so it’s good for the health of all of us to have every person with HIV treated.
Farage’s policy would lead to more HIV cases and greater health costs.

This is so, so dispiriting. It's difficult to be positive about the UK to international colleagues when we have such an incompetent and mean Home Office

Great to see TFL encouraging active travel - one guy at the bus stop got so fed up of waiting for the bus he started walking!

(Seriously though, there has been a noticeable decline in service on various bus routes around where I live and I would love to know what's causing it).
