Interesting. I’ve not heard of the type of sheep but I love your description. I’m going to plan for a weft with those gorgeous colors.
I love those colors! I haven’t heard of Polwarth. Can you explain? I wonder how it would be as a warp or weft?
Thank you. I’ll have to try it.
Absolutely stunning. Would you mind sharing the pattern?
That’s fun. I think they’re cool. My husband is building me a cabinet for yarn et al. I plan to display them.
Thank you so much!
I’m hoping to discover another use. She didn’t fish, or much close to it. She was a fiber expert.
That’s what I wonders with the net comments from others. My aunt would not have used them for that.
I’ll have to do some research on this.
Interesting!
This interview with former Secretary of State Blinken and @heathercoxrichardson is a must watch! open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...
Doing so would drastically speed winding on a warp I guess?
Interesting. Thank you!
How are they used?
What is a netting shuttle used for?
Very pretty. I love the subtle color changes
My third post today is really just some of the unique shuttles in her collection. I am wondering about the uses for those with the threads on them. Why is the configuration in the middle the way it is? I appreciate everyone’s advice and input. These are so cool! #weaving
Second item on which I need assistance identifying and determining uses from my great aunt’s collection is this single paddle. Again, what’s it for a what am I missing? #weaving
Question for the weavers among us. I learned to weave from my great aunt who was an art teacher. I’m now unpacking her equipment and need help identifying a couple items. These are identical paddles (?) but what are they for? What are the missing pieces? Thank for your help. #weaving
Thanks for the tip!
What a fun pattern!
This is why we need to keep making noise and speaking up. For the others…for now.

That is stunning! Beautiful work.
Get multiples too so you can switch them out easily when changing fibers. I bought a pack of 12.
