Had a chat with my friend Alessandro about Puppet, DevOps, consulting and our new Holos product on his Abnormal DevOps Iterations podcast.

Tomorrow Iām going to be recording a chat with an old friend from the Puppet days to discuss the crux of the problem, the state of tooling at the integration layer, and Samuel L. Jackson.
More info coming soon!
This week weāre soft-launching an open source project weāve built called Holos that fills a gap for tooling at the integration layer for Kubernetes platforms.
If thatās the kind of thing you work on, you should check out holos.run/docs/guides/... and give it a spin!
In the past 10 years since I left social media I:
* Did a number of consulting gigs moving folks to Google Cloud.
* Spent time solving Puppet blast radius and incremental change rollout problems at Twitter (1.0) scale.
* Helped develop the Terraform Authoring and Operations Pro exam.
š Hieeeee Bluesky! Iām slowly (maybe, perhaps) coming back to social media in a professional context. Weāve been building some fun stuff in the Kubernetes space over the past couple of years at Open Infrastructure Services, and Iām pretty excited to begin talking about it!
Excited to share this project I've been working on. It's been nice to work on configuration management in the context of Kubernetes and platform engineering. With Holos, I write CUE code to manage our platform instead of YAML templates and bash scripts, but still leverage upstream Helm charts.
