I remember the deluge of Urban Fantasy around 2010-ish getting emails about book 4 in a series I didn't even know had a book 1 featuring very determined-looking women in jeans & a leather jacket in an alleyway battling witches, werewolves, and goblins in various US cities! (I miss SFSignal!)
Fuck ICE
We like what we like! No judgement, more that Romantasy is such a goddamned force right now
Congratulations to @toddkeisling.com, whose Bad Hand re-release of DEVIL'S CREEK is selling more like a new release than a re-launch of a title that was originally published years ago.
Coming up on 500 sold at the close of the first month back in the wild.

Half the emails I get from publishers are touting a book as "New TikTok Romantasy sensation!!"
Finished the first novel in the Omnibus and really liked it. I keep thinking this series is like PHANTASM meets THE DARK TOWER

You are most welcome! The book is amazing!
Today at @sffworld.com, my review of WRETCH, by @ericlarocca.com a novel that "made me feel, made me question things in ways that werenβt very comfortable. An unrelenting, devastating horror novel." Then there's Porcelain Khaw, a character who *must* be encountered.

The only solution to that "problem" is to acquire more books
Thanks!
Up at @sffworld.com today, my review of @kierstenwhite.bsky.social's
THE FOX AND THE DEVIL- which "ticks a box been high on my list of late β a story at the intersection of crime thriller and supernatural horror..." with an enthralling protagonist

A few days later...almost a week. I finished this on the flight out to Las Vegas (I hate that city) and my god did I love this book. I know I'm a couple of years late to the party, but what an incredible capstone to the trilogy. I can't stop thinking about Jade. #JadeDanielsismyFinalGirl
Taking the last ride with Jade Daniels, who will be my companion on my looooong flight tomorrow for a business trip. @sgj.bsky.social @sagapressbooks.bsky.social #horrorbooks #booksky
Hereβs a cover I illustrated for the upcoming D&D book, Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. It was such a joy to paint Strahd again π¦

Ooohh I think @talkscaredpod.bsky.social might enjoy this one, too
(Deleted original post because stupid autocorrect)
About halfway through this novel - WEAVINGSHAW by Heba Al-Wasity and I am loving it. Gothic fantasy, hints of horror, lovely writing. I think both @margueriteturl2.bsky.social and @sadiehartmann.bsky.social would totally be vibing with it @delreybooks.bsky.social #gothichorror #gothicfantasy
Yes!!! I tapped out of HoD, despite some good acting. A Knight... has nearly perfect casting
I love this show, so much better than the other GoT show. I like the "smaller stakes" of the story and Dunc is awesome
I've been a fan of Shinedown's music since their 1st album (Fly From the Inside is a top tier opening song). Admittedly, I don't know much about their politics (shame on me). It isn't so much that I'm glad they pulled out of Kid Rock's concert, but disappointed to learn they were part of it at all.
