I purchased a Huion 16" Kamvas Pro which was heavily discounted in a fall sale. It has an elegant form factor and I find the etched glass to be a good drawing surface (on an iPad, I use a paper texture sticker.) I understand they are a well-known alternative to Wacom, but I hope this might useful!
